I blame Grayson for White, Howson and Johnson leaving for not offering them contracts before they´d shown other clubs what they are capable of in this league

Frank, have you seriously asked what Grayson has done wrong with White?

So it should've been new improved contracts all round even before we played a single game in this league?!

...when did White leave btw?!!

Yes it should, that's his whole point and it's a very good one.

A good manager knows the potential of players without having to see how they fare in a league above.

Grayson has managed in the Championship before, it's not as if the league is some kind of alien place FFS.
He should have tied some of the players down when we got promoted.
It really isn't that difficult.

We had a manager who could identify talent and get players tied down to contracts earlier

I get the feeling that Grayson can do this. It's just that Bates seems completely incapable of opening his wallet or keeping his mouth shut.

What gives you that feeling?

You could say you have a feeling that Grayson could win the Eurovision Song Contest.

It doesn't mean anything.

You have to base your opinion on something.

In the case of Aidy White he ignore him for three years, told everybody he wasn't a left-back, and had Ben Parker, two trialists and Darren O'Dea ahead of him in the summer.

The reason White didn't get a new contract is because Grayson didn't rate him!

Why are people defending Grayson?

He stumbled into playing Aidan White. Which is why it's taken till this season before a contract was offered. Saying he was a left winger and then playing players like McCartney, Hughes, Bessone over him. Now he's a good player that we'll lose.

Johnson was played out of position and then finally in his right position he shined and we have lost a good player for free due to a contract not being offered until too late.

Howson was never played in his best position until last season and then it took too long to offer a contract.

Had he offered Johnson, Howson and White new contracts before the start of the season, they'd still be our players now. But he waited until they showed their talent and had other club's interested and they could then ask for higher wages or higher football.

And one thing that some people say about Grayson ignoring players is 'he sees them on the training ground'. So he should have been able to see the talent and potential these players had.

Howson, White, Johnson and Kilkenny's contract issues were down to Grayson.

You can imagine Lambert telling Howson he'd play him in his best position and make him a star in the Premier League.

You can imagine Grayson telling him he wants him to do a job and sit for him.

Regardless of money or the lure of the Premier League it's a bit of a no brainer really.

And people forget that Grayson never rated Kilkenny.

The first thing Grayson did was drop Kilkenny and he did it a few times.

Never mind Howson, we always looked a better team with Kilkenny in the side and we're missing him too.

I believe it is Mr Grayson that has in the past stated that the funds have been available and that he has a) Not used it and b) bought the players he has.

To my mind he should go. It saddens me to say it too.

Wow, Eric.

Why does it sadden you?

posted on 19/1/12

I'll tell you why it saddens me, it's because I actually believe he is a Leeds fan.

On the other hand, when you comment I'm never sad, you amuse me with your inane rants and I don't think you present yourself as a genuine Leeds fan.

How does Grayson potray himself as Leeds fan?

How do I not potray myself as a Leeds fan?

I know what you mean, Eric. I thought we had a bright future under SG.

I thought Grayson was fantastic in his first year at the club. We'd just beaten Man U, and were 11 points clear.

But then we suffered that terrible blip in the second half of the season. And the results like 3-0 to Swindon, 6-4 to Preston, 5-2 to Barnsley. Then missing out of the playoffs last season. Johnson, Kilkenny, Howson etc. leaving. Terrible signings.

The last 2 years have completely changed my opinion on him. He has made a lot of mistakes and not getting our most promising players tied down before they became stars was a massive mistake of his.

I didn't say he portrays himself as a Leeds United fan, I said I believe he is a Leeds United fan.

Re you, read your own posts and comments. They speak volumes about you.

How?

You can't just say things.

How am I coming across to you?

What makes you believe Grayson is a Leeds fan?

And what does it matter that he is?

I'm sure there are murderers who are Leeds fans, does it sadden you that they're in prison?

posted on 19/1/12

If Grayson was any fan he should resign immediately & let someone else step in,
But he won't do that because he isn't a fan, just a self opinionated liar!

posted on 19/1/12

Just because someone is in prison, doesn't preclude them from being a fan of whatever club they want.

It does not sadden me that a murderer who supports Leeds United is in prison.

I didn't say I believed him to be an honourable Leeds fan. I am sure we have many that post on here could be tarred with that brush. I actually happen to agree with you, I would like him to resign.

If you don't think that Grayson is honourable then why does it sadden you to say he should go?

I can understand that it would sadden you that he's dishonourable, but how can you be sad to see him go?

posted on 19/1/12

It saddens me that a Leeds fan (honourable or dishonourable) needs people like me, other genuine fans and you to tell him it's time to go, not that it saddens me him being honourable or dishonourable.
