Patience and love is the key!
Brought in as a replacement for fellow French forward Nicolas Anelka, Thierry Henry was immediately moulded into a striker by Wenger, a move that would pay rich dividends in years to come. However, doubts were raised about his ability to adapt to the quick and physical English game when he failed to score in his first eight games. After several difficult months in England, Henry even conceded that he had to "be re-taught everything about the art of striking."
Agree with most of it but not about Adam.
He has been OK for us, quality in some games and his eye for a pass is wicked.
Carroll – You cant get away from it ,spendin £35m on the lad was a MASSIVE mistake,IMO hes worth about £10-12m in reality.
---------------
Really, stop going on about the price, it doesn't matter what a player cost, it's what he does on the pitch.
Bellamy isn't good because he was free, he is good because he is performing. Carroll isn't bad because he cost that much, he is currently bad as he isn't performing.
Price is irrelevant if the owners have the money, so stop giving wums arsenal!
Even forgetting the price, Carroll has been a big mistake.
Carroll = not good enough. (sell)
Henderson = getting better every game. (future)
Adam = not consistent enough. (squad player)
Downing - this lad has all the tools, tricky, technically good, fast, fit - but he seems to get his head down very quickly when things aren't quite going his way.

I think it clear that the cost of the player does matter. If Carroll was bought for say £10m then his performances would have been far better than having the pressure of a £35m price tag around his neck
Adam has been good value for money. Because he was so cheap.
I really like Henderson. Bags upon bags of technical skill but only seems to lack drive and aggressiveness. And his best position is right mid. Every Sunderland supporter I've asked agrees. He only played CM at Sunderland as injury cover and he was better on the right. For some reason most Liverpool supporters like to claim otherwise. Why? I don't know.
Carroll is completely empty on confidence. We massively overpaid but I won't get in the 'never come good camp'. I'm just in the never worth wait we paid one.
For Downing see Carroll comments.
Adam has actually been one of the better players in the squad,
His contribution has been good and he's unfairly becoming a scapegoat.
Adam never said his corners were good - that was Ferguson - since when has his words been gospel

That's my point though, if everyone keeps comparing him to his price tag then he will always be under a lot of pressure to perform. I can understand wums doing it, as that is what they do, but us Liverpool fans need to take the pressure off him and give him a chance.
He will still become a very good player, although maybe not for us as he doesn't suit the style of play, but still while he is here we need to stick by him and support him.

Money aside again, as that doesn't matter, Adam has been good when playing further forward, as he was before Lucas' injury, but since Lucas has been injured he's had to play further back and looks very uncomfortable there.

Alright pal, hows it hangin.Remember you from the Old 606, have been on not606, but seems to have gone a bit quite on there at the mo.Whats this site like, seems a bit busier than not606, but the only issue is im blocked from this site at work, but not not606 for some reason???
Problem with Adam is inconsistency. Does something really good this and does something really poor next minute and is too selfish imo. With two people on both sides of him waiting for a tap in, he always decides to shoot into a defender in front of him.
Also he doesn't have the brain and mobility to play pass and move. Got a quality pass on him but doesn't know when to pass/release the ball.

It's Got_Better on here, if you excuse the pun. It was ridiculous at a certain point because of the wums but it seems to have settled down. There's some cracking posters across all the boards, but there's still an abnormally high concentration of kids trying to get a rise, particularly the Landan lot.
Regardless of the criticism we get constantly, the Liverpool board has really picked up over the last few months. There's a couple of long-term chat threads etc.

Henderson also lacks consistency, sometimes the way he traps the ball, you'd think he was Zidane. Other times he'd miss it completely. But....he is young and consistency comes with age anyway blah blah.
