Indeed mate, awesone atmosphere tonight, despite the poor turnout. Jelavic, Pienaar & beating Man City, what a day!
Plus I'm not driving, so I'm getting slowly pished in the passenger seat on the way home
Everton
Jelavic will score more goals than Saha,so It was best
*so It was best you got rid of him
You must be travelling a fair distance tobe, you must have had a few to put a positive comment on. Feels good doesn't it. Thought we played well tonight, Baines is a beast.
I see theres a lot of "thank god for that" on your board regarding Saha. No offence but i think Louis Saha now will be playing for a better side with better players and could possibly shine. I'm not overly excited by him but i think he's been incredibly isolated at Everton and never really had the service. He will get that at spurs though and time will tell if Harry has pulled out another gem
You should try having a few yourself KEIOC,it might lighten you up and stop the snide comments.
Slowly pished? I still am. Moyes might be slightly over the top in his assessment but I think that was possibly the best I have seen in two seasons but definitely this season. More like the dogs of war approach, tackling knowing you have back-up following in, makes a huge difference to how a side plays. Straq, Baines (tackling like a mad man) but at the back Hibbert was immense. Incidentally that bloke who locked himself to the post is not only in trouble with the bobbies but his Mrs will want to know what he was doing in her rabbit drawer.
Don, I'm sure he'll do great for you, on the few occasions he's not laying on your treatment table...
"Don, I'm sure he'll do great for you, on the few occasions he's not laying on your treatment table..."
exactly, everyone knows what a crock he is and i'm just worried we have to many in our squad with King, Gallas, Van der Vaart etc but he has played a bit more this season for you and i just feel Saha needed a fresh challenge and i personally believe he will thrive off our service. I trust in our manager Harry hence why i'm optimistic about Saha. Good luck anyway
With Straq putting in another decent shift and showing some nice touches, do you think Moyes will play him and Jelavic together?
Hats off to Hibbo tho on first game back and at centre. Be tough for Jags and Dist to get back in!!
Blu - If you think Moyes will shy away from type then I am afraid old chap you are wrong. He stumbles on good set ups, when they are forced upon him. The Team that played so well last night will not be the Team Moyes puts out on Saturday. He is the best Manager we have had in years and none of us would swap him for any of the rest but all of us also know his weaknesses. He needs a very strong right hand man that he trusts and can rely on to urge common sense and until that happens we can expect more of the same.
Ha ha, not nice is it? True though. Does feel good to say something positive, change must be in the air, even you have been at it, were you the sauce as well?
To be honest, why would we want to change a winning side who just played their performance of the season so far. I agree I would like to see the 4-4-2 but I think we would be mad to change it so quickly after that performance.
Agree that there is no need to change a winning formula but would feel a bit gutted for Straq to be dropped after his recent performances but on the flipside we've just our shelled out some cash on a striker that hopefully might bag a few. Suppose its a nice problem to have and provides us with some more options as long as Moyes uses them now and again.
I just cannot work out this 'opposite ends of the sprectrum' persona we have.....vs Blackburn shocking, vs Man City like watching a different team.
