Hmmmm...I foresee a hypothetical future where people stop going to the 'stadiums', clubs lose a great proportion of their revenue, can no longer afford to bring in top players, the standard of football declines, no atmosphere because there is no one in the 'stadiums', television companies lose interest and find something else instead, we end up with very limited football on telly.

Nah, couldn't happen just because people didn't actually go to support their team could it?
