Here's hoping !!! Go Lee GO !!
Another lost opportunity for LC to simply say he is committed to huddersfield Town and Dean Hoyle...why does he play games like this..By not simply excluding himself he is actually saying he is available isn't he ?
Dean Hoyle must be tearing his hair out with him. if I were deano I'd be on the blower to Mr Warnock.
Jacko,
I don't think he's playing games - I think he wants the job. He wanted the Leicester job but they didn't want him. Why would you spend days/weeks not ruling yourself out and then suddenly rule yourself out a couple of days before an appointment is made.
He simply does not have the gumption on how to deal with the media, He does not think fast enough,,, With all these "big" clubs after him along with the glorious record breaking run on his CV,, He wont say no as he will be keeping his options open, He will also be trying to put himself in a position to Up his contract (salary) ! If i was Hoyley i would be saying to him "If you wanna go for a chat with Uncle Ken (the greatest chairman Town have never had) off you go, But resign first and take all the geordie mafia with you, Not forgetting the scouse bookies runner", Hoyle would save a fortune rather than having to pay them all off at some point in the near future.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,As has already been stated, A happy gaffer with a thinking brain would have simply said "Am going nowhere".
anyone got hoyles number so i can ask him if we can have warnock back?
Tez ring 01484 241 342 ext 13 thats the number for Davys secretary mon-wed and Hoyleys number on thursday and friday.
Cos he just rang !!
Go on Clark just GO
LC must surely do some pre interview prep, don't they have a PR man down there...I hardly think he goes in cold..he'll know the questions and he'll know what he's going to say beforehand. is summat going on with LC and DH that we don't know about...After the Leicester farce didn't we have a sudden turnaround from getting 3 players in transfer window to us suddenly not going for anyone ? Was that DH flexing his muscles and asserting his authority with LC...If it was, LC doesn't seem to have learned...
Yet again Clark proves he cares more what the "football world" thinks of him more than his own fans. He has no intention of going to Leeds, why would he? But he loves the fact his name is in the news and he can then big himself up by turning them down.
On the football side i have seen the logic in every single decision Clark has made and agreed with most. However when it comes to his media/social skills he comes across as a very unpleasant chap.
Thinks he can take the pi ss out of us lot.
WARNOCK IN
it just goes to prove..
you can fool some of the people all the time......
suggest if you send bates the dvds of some of our matches he might send lee clark a death threat himself!!!!!!
i know i felt like it travelling home after some of the total non events i have witnessed, including whatever it was supposed to be at tranmere, because it certainly never resembled a professional football match..
they have no money at le-ds, he will have to do some work, he is a geordie, it goes against the grain..
they have no money at leeds
...........
38,is that why he has spent 7 mill of leeds utd profits on er facilitys?99% of leeds fans will not want a man who has failed 3 seasons to get hudders out of L1 even though he has spent more money that probably anybody ever in L1.next season is the new financial rule and that spells trouble for your club which has a very low income.hoyles money will mean nothing and clubs like leeds with over 30mill income will do alright.
Here's the latest comments from Clarky to the Yorkshire Post timed at 15.02 today, when he was asked about the speculation surrounding him being linked to the Leeds job.
"It's just speculation & untill I'm told otherwise, I'm the manager of Huddersfield Town - I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet, but it's because people outside our own football club think I'm doing a good job - I've been linked to a number of jobs over the last 12 months, but that's because our record backs that up - We've only had two defeats in 53 league games, the value of the squad is hugely higher than when I came to the club and the corporate side of the club is going through the roof, which is only down to the way the team plays - I don't think I'm too bad a manager really and that's why people are interested I think"
No wonder Ken Bates is reputedly sniffing around - he recognises a good young up and coming manager when he sees one, unlike some of out "Negative, impossible to please, head up their R'ses, ungrateful cretins" who can do nowt but knock his efforts even though Town have been stuck in time warp since the 1920's.
It makes me laugh when all our would be manager's reckon they can do better than Clark, when most of them have probably never kicked a ball in anger since leaving school, whilst the odd ones who claim to have played at pro-level, are never likely to admit that it was with some perenial struggler found in the lowest division's.
So just thank your lucky stars that we have the only manager in the entire football league, who has suffered only a couple of defeats in his last 53 league games and who has averaged 2 points/game over the last 12 month's (45 games), which is promotion form in anybodies language, except of course the "Lunatic Clark out Brigade" who couldn't pick a winner in a one horse race.
Clarky for England.
Get your head back down here with me Mirf before all the negative mob re-appear !
He is right though the corporate side is going through the roof because of how we play,, Deanos building a few rooftop vantage points so our guests are level with the ball.
clarck out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he,s dissing our club again with his antics!!
a simple no im happy here would have done!!
i dont care now i just want the horrible little man to go!
we ought to rename him...rumplestiltskin!!
any other available manager out there will get this team up this season!!
the media see his record......but they dont see the money he,s wasted on sheite players...and the amount he,s bought in 3 years......or the drivel we produce at home games!!!
Warnock In!!!!!!

you stay in your world..its safe... in your world, those who talk loudly must be doing something.. the person with the piece of paper who walks about quickly must be doing something very important..
i understand you are an ex copper.. see above for details... make it look like your busy!!!!
He hasnt won anything, period... he has had the time and he has definitely had the money...he hasnt won anything.. its not how you get there, its if you get there..he hasnt got us anywhere, we are still just about where we were when he joined.. the significant person to join the club was and still is dean hoyle..
going unbeaten in a poor league with more resources than most of the teams around you simply isnt enough.. if you accept close but no cigar then fine..I dont..
you should aim a little higher in life mirf..
if and when he wins something he can start with the waffle and the football speak blather, until then its just noise...
mirf..
if you notice these things..i do try to post my thoughts before the actual games..its not hindsight.. i havent jumped on any anti clark bandwagon.. he was never right, his tactics aligned with the money he has been allowed and the personnel he has been able to bring in have by default, in a poor league, enabled us to only lose a couple of games.. but a large number of the draws have been totally unacceptable from the performance point of view and from a results point of view.. drawing whilst your nearest competition win is virtually useless given there are 3 points for a win.. "sticking around" the top 6 and "hopefully being in the shake up" at the end of the season is what stevenage are trying to do and bournemouth(now they have lost half their bloody team), if thats our main "aim" then you and I and hoyle are being sold very short by a manage and his his staff..
Aim high, then if you miss it might not be by much..
its taken him till now to realise pc is no good and to blame for us turning wins into draws!!!
38 has been telling us this nearly all season!
barca..
p clark ran the team once they crossed the white line.. he pulled the team backwards, lee to his credit did try and get them to move up, he had less influence than p clark, thats all.. your not managing the team, someone else is to suit his own shortcomings..
I have no idea what happened at tranmere without p clark.. we just didnt do anything much anywhere on the park. I dont think have john terry and rio at the back would have made much difference, nobody framed.. we didnt defend well, we didnt create or tackle very much in midfield and we never got enough players forward to bother them very much.. maybe that one is probably a game to totally forget ever happened???
The thread isn't about whether LC is a good manager or not - its about whether he is positioning himself for the Leeds job - which he clearly is - and which he clearly did for the Leicester job.
Please, please Lee, don't be so patronising this time and announce you are "not interested in the Leeds job and are fully committed to Huddersfield Town" when you find out that Ken doesn't want you after all.
I'm still unclear as to why having brought in dozens of players over 3 years, and released many of them , that we can still put in performances like Tranmere. I know every team has an off day, but Towns level of perfromance never rises much above slightly above average for divison 3.
I accept LC has raised us to a regular 3rd/4th placed side..but to me that isn't good enough, whatever statistics you throw at me. I thought , with the time and money he's had that we'd p1$$ this league by a country mile..and yet we still haven't got a settled side, settled style of play and can't win enough games from draws.
Something is wrong somewhere, and in my opinion it's LC who is trying to do too many fancy things instead of concentrating on the task in hand.
If he talks to the players like he talks to the press...well maybe there is the clue to it.
What this silly story proves is that nearly everything you read about football is total guff. Clark and Bates have a real dislike for each other and would never work together.
I actually think Clark is a very good manager, he spots what's wrong with a team very quickly. On Saturday there was lots wrong but by far the biggest problem was Novak, he simply could not do what he was asked to do. Playing 2 wingers is very difficult because it will always leave you short against a team playing 1 up and the answer is hard to find. Hopefully the signing of a "number 10" is that answer.
It's easy to pick faults, i do it most weeks, but i hear very few people who come up with sensible answers. In fact i hear some truely ridiculous suggestions. I don't like Lee Clark but he knows alot more about football than anyone on here. Just wish he realised he doesn't know more about Huddersfield Town. Sulking and stomping around with an attitude is not how we do it here.
Boo - You think Clark is very good manager, I dont, And never in a million years does Novak have the brains or skills to play in the number "10" role, I know that, Why the hell does he not ? Just because you have played and recieved coaching tuition/FA brainwashing does not make you a good manager, Maybe a coach who follows current guidelines/principles, Maybe a poor coach, Maybe a good coach, But definatley not a good manager, That is something that comes naturally or should, It defo is not a natural for Clark, Not with his personallity anyway.
