I'm not cynical, but...
...the BBC won't listen to what we say. They aren't going to suddenly tell the designers, "sorry, you spent months on this, but we're just going to change everything you did!"
Hopefully they'll at least send the current lot of designers packing. That web page is as bad as it gets when it comes to web design.
It's a lot to take in at once, that's for sure. And the yellow is just too … yellow.
The weirdest thing for me though is the placement of the Headlines. Why are they just in some skinny little column placed seemingly at random near the centre of the page? Surely this renders them non-Headlines?

Yeah totally. This is easily the worst bit (along with the abundance of yellow - I mean did Homer Simpson design this?!!).
The headlines is in the daftest place you could possibly put it.
The funniest thing is the site really could be improved with some select touches. It really does make you wonder whether they beta tested it before rolling it out to a mass release!

Very little.

The colour scheme is very childish. It looks as though it was designed by an amateur.
The layout is too messy, like a teen music magazine.
How dare they infringe my personal rectitude!!!! I have very strong opinions, which, obviously I can only share with Reds, about their stupid, mamby-pamby colour-co-ordinated web site (I'm sorry guys, I've been on the juice. Again. Today. Where was I?) oh yes, their thingimiby-jig coloured, thingy, em, where was I? Oh it's fantastic. Can I go now? JimmyTheRed
