Because we were 3 nil up and playing well ???
Confidence boost for the starting 11 and will stick with the same line up for the next game- no point changing it against 9 men when we were well on top.Clayton on a yellow card would have been my only change.
I'm pretty sure Neil Redfearn knew he could make substitutions.
We were 3-0 up and everyone was doing their job.
He's not Grayson, he wasn't going to take the top scorer off for someone who hasn't scored.

I'm a fan of trying to make subs whenever you can to keep the team fresh, 75 minutes instead of 90 can make a big difference in the next game.
Tommy
Totally agree, and it can stop the flow of a team
Seen it ER many a time
I agree that sometimes subs are made for the sake of it. However, 2-0 against 9 men, perfect time to introduce new signing Robbie Rogers for a tired Snodgrass. Bleed him into the English game etc. However I'm not that bothered, as long as we get the points.
You can only make 3 subs, though, Anti, so 8 players well have to play 90 anyway.
The myth about Grayson always making great substitutions came from him using Gradel as an impact sub.
And for some reason he dropped Beckford, Howson and Becchio at times. And surprise, surprise, they changed games.
The game was never won until Becchio scored, at 2-0 albeit against nine men a turnaround could have happened, all it takes is one goal and the mentality changes. Any manager knows that, even dare I say Grayson?
I would have liked to have seen Clayton and Snoddy replaced for last 10. You can't get many better opportunities to make changes than 2 nil up against 9.
As it turns out, substitutions might have meant Becchio didn't score. But with our ability to score late goals it could also ended 0-4.
If you don't need to make subs why do so?
You're telling me to get help on every post.
It's you who needs help!
No GIO, this is one of those posts I was talking about.
The question is why NR didn't make any substitutions, and your first comment brought SG into it.
Why? It proves you are still obsessed with him. He has gone, that is what you wanted, now let it go.
Every time I see you turn a topic to anti-sg or start one, I will tell you to get help. It will be for your own good.
I can't be bothered reading the idiots comments any more...filtered.

I wasn't there but against 9 men I can't see they would have been exactly overdoing it and it's a week until the next game.

Grayson was the ******* last manager.
Someone questioned Redfearn so I compared him with the man he replaced.
It's you who's obsessed.
I'd like nothing more than to wipe Grayson from our history, but when issues are raised when he needs to be brought up, I'll continue to do so.
You're demented.
I have Alzheimer's do I? Or maybe vascular dementia?
Actually I have neither.
You however are a sad individual who resorts to calling people "a poor excuse for a man" for example.
You really should take a look in the mirror, then go and check yourself into a clinic. You have SERIOUS issues and I am actually beginning to feel sorry for you!
Don't remember calling anyone that.
Maybe "pathetic excuse for a man"? Do you remember that?
