being an avid villa supporter i totally agree with the above....but remove keans name and replace it with mcleish...or maybe both..... thoughts.

if only

It pains me to say it but I think that only relegation from the Premier League and its financial impact on Venkys is only way I could see them leaving our club and hopefully removing Kean at the same time.

I think it's safe to say that if Venkys went, Kean's tenure would also end!

I'd more than happily swap Kean for McLeish...

good he is yours

you get Kean as part of this deal by the way...

no problem....anybody and i do mean ANYBODY but the ginger jock

Er... Kean is a bald ginger jock!

We win!

Oh wait, there's 3 minutes left, we'll probably lose!

it's just all a horrible uncertainty nowadays.

In the past...

Relegated in 2000 - gutting, but wasn't worried, knew we'd invest in the right manager and players (or would at least try to).

Gambled on Ince - as soon as things started going pear-shaped Williams sacked him and brought in experience. Even if we had gone down I'd have been happy knowing that we'd at least tried to do the right thing.

Now its like Venkys are actually trying to destroy us!

The biggest problem if we get relegated this time is the lack of Jack Walker's money to get us back up quickly and keep us there for the dangerous first couple of seasons. Without that there's nothing to stop us turning into Burnley/Preston: very rare cracks at the play-offs, the occasional promotion, followed by the almost inevitable instant relegation.

But stay up and things aren't going to improve, just one more season of pain.

Only hope for me is that we get relegated, Venkys realise they're out of their depth and sell up.

Desperate times normally require desperate measures.

But we just need a new manager and then we would have half a chance again.

The only difference between Burnley/Preston and Blackburn was Walkers money. Welcome to the real world.

Oooops, I just typed a reply and lost it, but my point is that someone might have "shorted" the club in an investment as I wrote in another thread yesterday.

All other explanations assume their stupidity and I don't think they are. Someone somewhere east of, say, Dubai is smiling.....

Yeah I just said that. And despite popular Burnley fantacism, most Rovers fans supported us pre-Walker. We're well aware of the real world.

They is 1 problem with your thinking Kean will still be manager of Rovers while Venky's are here so getting relegation means nothing Kean will still be manager come the start of next season Premier or championship

What happened to the Flood/Kilby axis and the £60m play-off final?

I really dont think that many of you are realising just what sort of people in the Venkies we are dealing with,,well let me just try to explain a little,,Obviously you will be aware that they are indeed Asain, right now i have nothing against asains,,BUT!,,i do undersrand them,,and they are quite know it al people, they know all the answers wether they are the right answers is of no consequence they are answers but most of all they are there answers,,so in there thinking they are the right answers,,even if events prove they have the wrong answers,,no probs to them because it is just a blip and it will be ok,because they think we know we are right,,they also have an obstinate streak that they will not be told or advised about what needs to be done,,they need to show that they pull the strings and no one else does,,so we could end up in Div 2 ad Kean will still be here making excuses, like Saturday he had another excuse..Givet got sent off and we cant pla Arsenal with 10 men,,we all know that we were 3-1 down before he got sent off,but as far as the Venkies are concerned we only had 10 men and that is why its unfair to blame Kean,,now after saying all that ,,ok,, Venkies dont have enough money anyway to prop up a Premier league club,,so yes which ever way we look at it we are well and truely f e c k e d for sure.

Rover Blue i'm in total agreement

posted on 6/2/12

I'm not.

How many 'Asians' do you know? Are you just talking Indian or maybe British Indians?

Also, Venkys have a fortune. Venkys London have a relative pittance. They're niaive in footballing terms but they ain't stupid when it comes to money!

posted on 6/2/12

Pie you have written a complet load of b o l l o c k s there if they had a load and i mean a load of money,,Venkies London would be cash rich but it isnt WHY ?,,because the do not have a load of money..ok they have a lot of money or so it is claimed but they do not hve enough money to service a Prem club in the way it will need to be served, they are relying on this club to service its on well being, without them injecting any extra cash because they dont have enough to lose,,they have the cash yes,,but they cant afford to lose it,,i still stand by what i wrote and that is they are just playing or even assett stipping slowly but surely.

RB, you misunderstand Venkys London, the owners of Rovers are a different company to Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt (or something like that)

Venkys London is a Private limited company as I understand, therfore any collapse of VL ltd will have no impact on the finances of VHP (or som my weak understanding of business finances suggests)

I was in total agreement about Kean not the bit about Asians

posted on 7/2/12

My Dad was in the sub-continent in the RAF for years and he always said that Asians are very savvy business people but not averse to practices not accepted in our culture (if you get my meaning...), that's why I suspect that someone has "shorted" the team to be relegated. Jeez I sound like our dear-departed Vinjay with a conspiracy theory, it's getting to me.....time for alcohol

posted on 7/2/12

No one is saying anything about Asains not having good business sense or even averse to a sharp practice or two,but what i am saying is that they seem to have taken this club on to strip dry,,for what ever reason i do not know, they cant have took it on to simply get relegated ,because even Keans staunchest critics do admit he has had a good deal of bad luck,so it is all about the owners for me,,why did they buy the club? now that is a good question and if anyone knows the true reason then they will then know what the true future of Blackburn Rovers FC wil be,remember in the unlikely event that we go on a three game winning run all of this will be forgotten, but is that going to happen,,NO it isnt!!,the Walkers trust have got away with murder for me, as know seems to indicte them at all, dont blame the thick skinned scot who is taking the flac up front but for circa £20,000 per wk i would take some flac guys,,lol

i think that to brand steve kean as unlucky is positivley absurb.

i'd suggest he is one of the luckiest guys around.
