D Jeezus, do you know exactly when pre season training starts?

it begs to ask, with all these players we are linked with and/or we are short off, whatever happened to Wengers dream, he surely failed we hardly have great talent lining up in our own ranks waiting to fill these positions, oh well lets see what money buys us?

The new season is just around the corner and we are still reading about whether Fabregas will stay or go! Right now we should be building the team for the new season and all we are hear is whether one of our stars will still be with the club or not.

On the contrary, I'm quite excited about what's happening. The most pleasing part of all of this isn't the incoming players, it's the fact that both Clichy and Bendtner as well as Denilson are all likely to move on whereas both Nasri and Fabregas are edging closer to remaining with us.

If this happens along with the secural of Alvarez/Gervinho as well as a couple of others, especially a steelish centre-back, then I think we'll be in pretty good shape going into this new season.

It all depends on whether Wenger has recognised our deficiencies. If Nasri and Fabregas stay, but Clichy, Bendtner and Denilson are shown the exit then that's promising.

Also if Oxade-Chamberlain is drafted in as an eventual replacment for the mentally deficient Walcott, then things just get better and better in my opinion.

The international transfer window hasn't even opened yet and you're complaining about a lack of knowing where we stand. I should ask you whether you're serious.

that's a good point. the guy who writes arseblog makes the same argument - that the 'will they, won't they' debacles are detracting from the main issue - reinforcements.

i have a horrible feeling that, in the minds of wenger and gazidis, holding onto nasri and cesc will be more significant than any new players coming in.

because if we do fail to land much needed targets (the last half-dozen or so transfer windows suggest this shouldn't be ruled out) then we may be subjected to the usual 'we couldn't agree a deal for x' or 'we couldn't come to an agreement for y's terms' or 'z coming back from injury is like a new signing.'

i see the samba situation now, and i think i can almost predict what's going to happen. gazidis is going to spend the summer at the negotiating table with blackburn - they won't budge from their asking price, we won't budge from our first offer, and both clubs will spend the whole time waiting for the other side to blink. in the meantime, any other possible alternatives who are half-decent or still eligible for europe will be snapped up, and the window will slam shut as the two parties argue over the fee.

wenger has to recognize such deficiencies he has no option, getting in to the top 4 even if this is accepted as success at Arsenal is/will getting harder and harder if he does not bolster and retain we are sure to slip out

I don't believe that it's against the law to look for available talent within our own leagues, anyone that is, except Joey Barton. Arsene Wenger seems to only want "ready made" stars from continental europe where the game is a little less robust. Consequently, they seem to be very injury prone.
