Afridi gone.Good bit of entertainment.

PR it was always going to be the case as soon as England went over 220. Its got nothing to do with pace bowling. Our batsman are known to bottle a chase and thats exactly what they have done. BOTTLED IT!

Umar Akmal is clearly struggling to W/K and bat, so it's obvious that his brother needs to come into the side. Malik needs to go, bring in Adnan in his position and Azhar Ali needs to bat at number 3 at the expense of Shafiq.

Amir, Azhar really? It takes him 2 days to score a 50 in tests?

posted on 13/2/12

Kash, that's Test cricket... Pakistan need to test him at the ODI level, we need someone with a proper technique (apart from Younis) to bat at 3. He needs to be a long term choice, he needs to learn to play more aggresive and can only get better if given the chance.

Amir we already have Shafiq, Khan, Misbah, Farhat and Malik that bat slow so not what we need. We just need to make sure we win the toss next game or it will 2-0 to England.

Plus, look at Amla and Trott... People moan about Trott, yet he has a healthy strike rate at the ODI level, Amla S/R is 90+... A lot of people thought Amla would be a useless ODI player because of what they saw at the Test level, yet he's one of the best ODI batsman going.

Eliminate nepotism.Trust me, there are much better batters than Malik and Farhat playing domestic ckt and scoring centuries in BPL.

posted on 13/2/12

Nah man Amla was always a good off-side player and let not forget Ali still has some technical issues. It's just a bad day at the office and we all know sometimes after a thrashing we bounce back.

Credit to England and Cook who batted superbly while everyone else struggled.

Exactly, Farhat should not be playing, nor should Malik, someone like Shafiq should play Test cricket but should compete for his place in the ODI side... We need to try and post/chase decent totals and all people moan about is how slow we play. I think these batsman need to sort out their techniques before we start moaning about how slow they play.

Give Malik and Farhat shopping coupons and let then enjoy U,A,E trip.

Jeepers you guys are really giving your team stick, according to my count youv'e decided you need 4 new batsmen. This team has just won 14 out of it's last 15 games until today.

Wonderful beamer by Finn!- Shame he didn't bowl it at Malik, could of done us all a favour...

. This team has just won 14 out of it's last 15 games until today.

Includes win against mighty Zimbabwe Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Srilanka ( Apologies for bracketing alongside but on current forn they are not good).

Ajmal remains the highest wicket taker for this match.

hopefor... Pakistan really need to make one change, that's Malik out and someone like Azhar Ali/or the W/K in. Umar Akmal clearly struggled today with his back.

What you don't understand is nobody wanted Malik or Farhat in the squad in the first place.. As for Shafiq I'm happy if they continue to give him the chance.

Whack... Great shot by Wahab, I think he's trying to say to Broad you're a b!!tch compared to Finn.

posted on 13/2/12

Kash to say the pace bowling had nothing to do with this result is rubbish. Finn bowled wonderfully in his early spell with the new ball. A little generosity to your opponents please.

posted on 13/2/12

Hopefor, Agree breathtaking spell from Finn, but remember the 2010 ODI series between these two?

It's exactly the same in my opinion, win the toss and bat first because batting under the lights is very difficult.

Well played Pakistan

Congrats English team

They wrecked Pakistan today and despite Pakistan's dominating in test matches , today's result indicates a lot of work need to be done.Congrats to captain Cook and Finn.

Good confidence boosting win fom England afte the tests.

Also good to see that quality seam bowling can prevail whatever the wicket conditions.

Finn should have played in the tests.

England: Harry Redknapp wants Paul Scholes at Euro 2012
Great he's not got the job but he's picking the squad already.

Great respite for English and will be interesting to see how Pakistan responds in the next game.

We all know neon's response. He is dancing outside his home.
