Absolutely spot on bridge, this is not 2009 these factions have to realise their stock is not as high as it once was

Brummie, I've been looking for you, when do you go back

I totally disagree with this approach.

And good luck with RIPPING THIS TEAM TO SHREDS.

Tonight Sands, fly out from Brize in the early hours!!

Lets say the click is : JT, Lamps, Drog, Pete and Ash.

Only JT has performed well this season anyway.

Rip it apart if needs be.

This team needs to built around a core of hungry, talented players like, Luiz, Ramires and Mata.

Cech's replacement is getting rave reviews at Atletico.
Cole has been poor for months.
JT has played really well, but for how much longer? Cahill bought as his long term replacement IMO.
Lamps is no more than a squad player now.
Drog turns up when he feels like it, Valencia home etc.

Back AVB to rebuild fully in the summer, even now if he sees fit.

Would anyone be that bothered, If Cole, Lamps and Drog didn't play again this season?

I am about to say a very strange thing but this side should have been broken up the beginning of the season we won the double,

THANK YOU!!!!!!

I've been saying this also and everyone tells me to shut up! It was the worst thing we could of done and when we did win the double I think the reason we won it was because we were the best of a bad bunch!

Sell: Lampard, Drogba, Kalou, Malouda, Mikel, JT (if he doesn't want to play for AVB), Bosingwa.

Replace them with younger players who will be hungry to do well who won't have big ego's like those players.

Team for next season:

Cech

Ivanovic
Luiz
Cahill
Bertrand

Romeu
Ramires

Sturridge
Mata
Hazard

Torres/new striker.

If we want Mceachran to play then we can just put Ramires on the right with Mceachran alongside Romeu.

Exciting times ahead with AVB hopefully. If we play anything like how Porto play now then we'll be lucky.

yep, we need to build our squad around Bosingwa and Meireles.
Sack everyone else.
Bosingwa to captain CFC.

Long live AVB Project!

His only backing Bosingwa because Bosingwa is backing him in the project unlike few other players. I'm sure come summer when he can sign player that will back his project, he will look to sell Bosingwa. In the summer there was talks of us offering Bosingwa elsewhere as well.

Think you're half right. My personal opinion is that double winning team was in it's absolute prime, only undone by Mourinho's magic in the CL. 18 points out of 18 against the big four at the time + 100+ goals tends to warrant a lil more than the title 'best of a bad bunch'.

The mistake we made was failing to evolve the squad properly. Selling off Ballack and Deco with only a lightweight Ramires who needed time to adapt was awful squad rehabiliation. We missed our window for evolution, which is why we now need a revolution.

How is he supporting AVB's project, by conceding goals in every single game?

Good point! your right, If you think we sold Ballack, Cole & Deco - all of which are quality players ( I know some plagued by ageing, injuries etc) but still, I would prefer to have them as squad players than some of the players that are in the 1st team now!

Meireles, Im not sure would even get on the bench if I had Cole, Lampard, Ballack, Ramires, Romeu, Deco, Essien, Mata to pick from and thats only because recently when I've watched him, I feel he gives the ball away too much...

posted on 17/2/12

That is what the old guard is moaning about. The squad is poor and they see themselves as better footballers than what's around them. They probably are, but just get with the 'project', and shut the f up

HHHBF - well said about the double.

All I would say is the players do have a right to be concerned. At times AVB has shown a tactical naivety that's cost us, theres no doubt about it. These are players who have played under some of the most successful managers in the modern game, they will know if something isn't right. After all without player power we might have had to put up with Scolari for longer than we did.

If this concern is expressed through things like team meetings and pulling together with the manager to push the club forward then it's fine, in fact it's hugely positive.

Its only if their undermining AVB that a problem arises, and I don't think there has been much evidence of that.
