I would LOVE IT if Rafa came to an English club and was a real thorn in Liverpools side, making the difference between them going through to the next round of Cups, qualifying for Europe in the League etc
That shows that he wants someone in who knows how to get Torres to score goals.

You,d like him to take over from SAF then
Im probably the only person on this board who wouldnt mind Rafa.
I am with Mr C
Although he played some numbingly defensive footie sometimes, he was a rather good tactician IMO.
Oh, and great in the transfer market also
Whitewall
I remember they had Real MAdrid in the quarter finals I think. They were away first leg and they won 1-0. Benayoun goal. He got heavily criticised by the media over here and in Spain for being too defensive. The return leg at Anfield, they hammered them 4-0. They were all over them like a rash. Best Liverpool performance ive seen. What am I saying

Mr Chelsea, you can take "probably" out of that sentence
They played Madrid in the last 16 not the quarter finals
Trevor, you know you want Rafa too, stop hiding your true feelings
Rafa got Liverpool as the number one seed in champions league.
He may not be the best for the league but he is one of the best around for winning in europe

Honestly. If you've got a bit of time. Watch some of his interviews with the BBC, AFTER he left Liverpool. You might see him differently.

In is time at Liverpool, he spent £220million on players and generated £160million in player sales. That is the equivalent of a £60million net spend over six years: in other words, £10million spent per year.
Deduct from that figure the £120million revenue from the Champions League success and qualification over that period, and he in fact generated an additional £60million in revenue for Liverpool football club.
Oh good god
