Google are taking over the world they're physic
i got this...
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at googleads.g.doubleclick.net.
i've never trusted companies and ad suppliers so i block as many of them as i can find.
if anyone is interested in doing this on a windows system, do the follow...
find your hosts file. mine is located at c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
open it up and enter the line
127.0.0.1 googleads.g.doubleclick.net
when you try and connect to that site it routes it to your own computer not their server. you can block any domain name this way by adding a new line with 127.0.0.1 <web address you want to block>. i have 1000's of entries in mine.
a quicker way is to search for a hosts file to replace your current one. this can help stop a lot of ad tracking and being redirected to site carrying viruses etc.

If you're on Windows 7 and can't edit the file, you have to right click on your Notepad icon and click "Run as administrator".
