Great to get some new material here.

This OP is sort of the opposite of a couple of posters on here...it mainly shows up when Celtic lose an OF.

This is hilarious.

Football clubs are different to other institutions in that their survival is based on their fans.

Black Sabbath changed their lead singer yet people still referred to them as Black Sabbath.

Like music, football is a social institution. The band only ever dies when the fans decide it has.

I wonder if someone took all the financial assets from me and stripped away my 2 degrees, if my wife, daughter and friends would stop acknowledging me as the person I am.

Or whether I am who I am, regardless of the assets, titles and finances i have.

I wonder if my friends would stop coming round every Friday night to play poker and drink whisky if my name wasn't the same on my tax receipts.

The day we let a football club be classified as a human entity with a potential to die is the day sport as we know it dies.

Cancel your sky and bt subscriptions, stop going to games. Then the club dies.

This is a past time ffs 😂

As a side note, the way we treat corporate institutions in the same way we treat working human beings is ridiculous in itself! People get mad at corporations not paying tax the same way they would at people, which is hilarious!

Unfortunately none of this has any relevance to the way the law treats business entities. They are registered. They are not treated as if they were a person. In no way whatsoever. It’s a legal situation governed by a completely different set of rules and regulations.

That aside; to me they are still the same shower of cwnts they’ve always been, history or not

Oh I'm fully aware mate. I actually wrote a thesis on the Rangers situation for a business law class at uni. I was just being drunk and thinking utopian
