LDL...Where did you come across Big John?
Welcome mate, bad time to join, a lot of unhappy Leeds fans due to the lack of activity, and lack of ambition
Kopshite i have met him on numerous occasions at ER at Lorimers old bar which was an absolute dump and also when he came to the North west supporters club in l/derry for an end of season dinner along with Peter Lorimer and a youngster called Jamie Marks who was from Belfast and unfortunately didnt make the grade and moved back home to Linfield,so please cast you dispersions of me not being a Leeds fan elsewhere as everyone knows you are the No1 wum on here and not even Leeds fan
LDL...I'm sure I'll have a better idea when we meet. Big John had left for Juve when I started watching the team but I saw him when he returned in 62. After he retired he kept a pub on Churwell Hill and my Darts team played a couple of times against them. He later managed the Gomersall Park Hotel which was local and where my family and I would often take Sunday lunch but neither ventures were a success for him.
Alas, he was a far better footballer than he was a businessman but never less than a Gentleman.
Kopshite did it take you 90 mins of research to make up that story and reply, you are a numpty and a wum
LDL...You'll have to wait until we meet and I'll tell you then!
Promises promises just a keyboard warrior who hides behind a computer and full of hot air
A very BIG thank you for the warm welcome showed by everyone , looks like i found a new cyberhome lol
Big John yep sadly missed what a guy , i worked for him when he & glenda had the gomersal park hotel ( i was his Dj for the functions he had ) we used to go into the directors box at home matches on a few occaisions....a lot of the players used to use the hotel , before it was renovated and turned into a giant of a place lol... bumped into a few players while picking up my equipment on a sunday morning !!! Anyways ..... once again a big thanks to all..... & lets hope we start with some signings soon huh !!!!
LDL...There you go! it looks like Big John did manage the Gomersal Park Hotel. Lucky guess eh?

Personally I believe you on this one, but you tell so many lies that this is what you get now, people not believing you even if you do tell the truth.
It's actually miles from Cleckheaton and is in fact situ between Birstall and Birkenshaw close to Oakwell Hall an Elizebethan manor house run by Kirklees Council and well worth a visit.
ps What possible point would there be in lying to a numpty like you?
None of us know the point in you lying koppite, my best guess is just that it's attention seeking behaviour.
Well that will save me a consultation fee with the trick cyclist because I imagine you're as much an expert on this subject as you are on every other.
hey up !!! settle down folks ..... dont get upset at each other ....... i only came on to introduce myself .... release a few memories ..... & hey presto folks getting upset wi one another .... SORRY !!!!!
