Div 3

If a new team starts then we will be back in the SPL as 90% of clubs will vote us back in as they need the money our fans generate. Also sky have also stated that no Old Firm means no tv deal.

Show me where Sky have qouted this much pedalled myth?

If Rangers were in division 3 then the deal would not be the same as it currently is. There would still be a deal however and all the other clubs would survive accordingly

Be in with east stirling amd montrose, and still ye will stick your celtic nebs in our business.

the tv deal would go down slightly but another team would have chance of euro football and all that goes with it plus higher gates as teams would be fighting for champ league football

plus more players would join teams like motherwell utd ect as they would have euro football

then sky would see all this and it would go back up again

4 old firm games on sky is all they would lose

not too clued up on the process of admin are ye?

duff & phelps are bound by the court to act in the best intrest of the creditors, including HMRC.

they have no answer to craig whyte and craig whyte cannot influence the process

if it's liquidation then so be it, newco and start at the bottom of the pile, scotland or england

rest assured however, there will always be a rangers

posted on 5/3/12

england?

if thats the case you would not be rangers as you would need to sell ibrox murray park the lot and up sticks and start from bottom of pile

more likley you will start bottom of div 3

is it lonely up in your cloud?

get real pal, the winners of the SPL will be lucky to gain immediate entry into the CL. can you honestly see the best of the rest being able to qualify where rangers and celtic have failed in the past with much better squads?

i suppose the increase in gate receipts might just set-off the loss of playing rangers home and away 2/4 times a season

why would we need to sell ibrox and murray park?

FYI - if we go newco i think we should start from the very bottom of whatever country

posted on 5/3/12

It's highly unlikely that UEFA will relax current regu, ations to let a newco into England. Particularly as the only reason is "we fancy heading down there"

posted on 5/3/12

you are a scottish club to play in scotland you cant just choose to go down south celtic and rangers tried every which way to get down to england even starting in championship was not possible

and why would the currant criteria of entry to champ league end if rangers go surely teams would still have chance of going through who knows if they would manage

It depends what you mean by myth

It is not a myth that the current deal has this clause

So no Rangers no deal

The current deal would no longer exist.

The SPL and Sky would need to work out a new package assumes SKy would still be interested.

At the moment SPL clubs get around 1 million a season with Rangers and Celtic getting more (almost double as I understand)

The 2 million means next to nothing to Celtic but des keep the others running.

Don't think it will make much of a difference to the rest of the SPL whether we do go into liquidation or not.

Can only see Sky/Espn offering less either way. There's no real competition for them, and with such one sided Old Firm games/League it wont be so attractive to those outwith Scotland anyway.

Can't see us going to the third Division though.

if we go into liquidation we are nobody playing in no league

i'm not saying the CL criteria would change, why would it? what i'm saying is do you honestly believe a motherwell or hearts would gain qualification to the CL through the various qualifcation stages where Celtic and Rangers have failed in the past. If the answer is yes then your more deluded than i thought
