Whoever takes over will need a minimum £82m to get Rangers on an even keel.
There's the BTC which will incur millions in penalties and fees. And they can forget any nonsense about 10p in the pound.
And then there's the debt already accrued under Whyte's mismanagement.
So, £82m just to break even and that's before they even get round to buying new players to replace the ones that will leave in the summer (those who invoke clauses and those out of contract).
It does raise the question though: why didn't D&P rip up the contracts of the players who are leaving in the summer anyway? It's not as if Rangers have anything to play for.
hey The Policy of Rangers is Not Good guy. I like your user name...I'll give you £50m for it...interested?
You can have it furra pound
Policy's obviously stopped readin the press in the last coupla days now that the news is sounding better
Nobody's phoned me yet, why don't they approach some of these people who have won the euro lottery recently, the last couple with their 101 million must be itching to spend a few bob. Worth a wee phone call.
Policy...I'll give you a £1 for it...but I'm no taking on yir debts!!
how is Craig Whyte going to sell his shares when they are suspended from trading?
The news is a stay of execution. Rangers have been a car crash for a long time and will take a long long time to repair the damage. Next step could be the scrap yard or more like a new model - Lada circa 1980.
I would be wary.
1. Murray was part of the problem. I think the club needs a new broom.
2. Ticketus. What's their 'long game'? Will season tickets go to supporting the footballing operation.
3. There's a lot, a lot of debt at Ibrox just now. What form will the CVA take? What working capital will there be for the team?
4. It may transpire that Rangers have broken SPL/SFA/UEFA rules regarding registration. Is a 'slap on the wrists' enough? Not as far as I'm concerned.
Lada..
Why do Lada's have heated rear windows?
To keep yer hands warm when yer pushing them....
Ah the old yins...I miss them.

Sure...now if you would just sign this contract put together by my lawyers Collyster Bristow. What's that? Small print? Don't worry about that. It's all above board. You can trust me!
Also, Duff and Duffer are Whyte's fowk.
Duff and Duffer tried to sign Daniel Cousin.
Importantly. Check out who is pushing the latest story....
Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee.
Paul Murray has made no secret that he doesn't have the money to take over the club himself. There may well be no "leader with deep pockets" so a consortium would be necessary. We'll see what happens. The "thoughts" of certain Celtic fans I'll take with a lorryload of salt.
Policy, don't worry about DC... it's still 2011 where he is FerFS.
Deal....i'll call them first thing on Monday. Imagine SnawWhite using Mickey Mouse lawyers!

Just like you did last year when you were warned about Craig Whyte.
'The "thoughts" of certain Celtic fans I'll take with a lorryload of salt.'
If you'd listened to us last year, you wouldn't be knee-deep in doo doo just now with your club gaining pariah-like status over tax issues.
BH....good luck to you. Keep your chin up..all you can do in the circumstances.
so a consortium would be necessary.

A fans group perchance?

Explain how that would have worked.
And btw..I was one of the first to warn about Mr Whyte. It was the day after he lifted the league trophy despite only having been in the club for about a week. He was clearly a glory hunter. That title was nothing to do with him and he shouldn't have been anywhere near the pitch that day. Some abuse I got for that one!
'Explain how that would have worked.'
Seriously?
