dont know what kendricks done here on first lesson, Seems asif all he is trying to do is get across messages and be as versatile as he possibly can. Trying so hard to be different and doing so many things trying to live up to what we actually enjoyed on Maad city and just losing it so far. I get that he has a message and feels passionately but all the different voices, loose words and flow and lack of actual lyrical rhyme and wordplay is frustrating.

^^^ i've never really been a fan of his music, dont really like his voice & beat selections. He needs Apollo Brown to give him some beats, the only track i've liked of his was the one wit MC Eiht.

Second half of the album is pretty good on second listen but still random and trying a political message again. Plus one of the songs speaks about his anger over the trayvon Martin ordeal and as a foreigner in the matter I don't get it, the kid was a petty criminal and we don't have all the facts of the mirder. Although another case of american civilians with firearms when they are not
Needed.

well apparently graffiti, burglaries, theft of womens jewellery and maybe others but thats all I have seen on the surface of it. But is that really what you took from my post

I like the Kendrick album. Not as good as B4DA$$ by Joey, but still a good listen. I personally think it will have more staying power than Good Kid...
