Yeah all Leon Britton does is work hard and completes more passes than any other English player, why would England need a player like that?
So what if he's an unselfish team player who positions himself well defensively and offensively? Keeping possession is for foreign types who don't know how to play the game properly x

You will find most teams into he Euro's will play with 2 holding midfielders, like the Dutch did against us. I think we'd be stupid not to, and in Parker + Carrick, I think there is a good balance of tenacity and mobility in Parker, with the intelligence and calming influence of Carrick.
--------------------------------
Trouble is, if Carrick plays one bad pass in an England shirt, he will have a nation on his back as opposed to a few plastic reds
You just know we will end up with Barry and Parker filling the roles if we are to play that way but Carrick should certainly be in the squad if he retains this form level to the end of the season
Mikel has one of the hihest pass completeion rates for Chelsea and the PL and works hard, that does not mean I want him starting every game or think he would be a part of the England squad
I think Barry and Carrick are interchangeable; they're both similar players, and I don't think either of them are significantly better than the other. That said I think Britton could do their job just as effectively.
But their position and style is massively underestimated by most football fans who think if you're not delivering crunching tackles, scoring goals or playing hollywood passes that you're not a good player.
I think Parker is a disaster waiting to happen in an England shirt; he won't get away with his blatant fouls at international level, and he is worryingly careless with possession. I honestly can't fathom what all the hype is about x
Yh because Mikel is Nigerian x
Guys, just because Britton is having a good season does not mean he can step it up to International level, against Ukraine, France, Spain or Germany.
If he performs for 2 seasons on the trot, then he's worth a shout. At the moment, if you call him up for the national team, he'll be in danger of becoming another David Nugent.
My first team would be...
Joe Hart,
M.Richards, Cahill, Terry, A.Cole,
Milner, S.Parker,
Sturridge, Rooney, Chamberlain,
Welbeck.
Adam Johnson can start when Rooney is suspended and then he can go right wing with Welbeck AM and then Sturridge upfront.
Barry, Rodwell are also in the top 10 highest pass completion rates in the PL and work hard. Guess they shuold all go to the Euro's and start as well
Doh Didier, and drop arguably the best player in an England shirt the last year in Ashley Young? Welbeck, AM? ha!
Keep to football manager son

Wouldn't you go Gerrard in the hole for the games without Rooney? Especially since one of those games is vs France.
Serial WUManiser - maybe you're right, but would you also exclude AOC, Wellbeck and Sturridge?
They're hardly proven at international level. How many tournaments have they played in, how many competitive games have they had? x
Is U4074 a female poster? Or a resident of one of the 'clubs' of Soho? I am just wondering why U4074 signs off each riposte with an 'X' or does it signify something else?

Wellbeck has shown consistency with Sunderland and the league leaders. Sturridge has shown his worth with Bolton and Chelsea so they're hardly risks.
The only real gamble is Oxlade-Chamberlaine. It's worth a punt though, especially after his performance against Milan and United.

You on the pull mate?
At least people seem to care and have a good discusion regarding this England team. It could go one of two ways, I just hope whoever takes over has the minirals to drop all the players who haven't done it for England over the last 10 years.
It's an 'x' not an 'X'
I use it because being completely illiterate, it's the only way I know how to sign my name x
LOL UnitedRedMacca, not at all. I am just curious!
Maybe it is a new sign of being down with the kids ≤laugh≥
