The Mighty Quinn(U4099)
More about me:
First off - I don't feel mighty & my name isn't Quinn. I grew up listening to family members & old guys in shipyard pubs talking about Jimmy Quinn. He was Celtic's first goal scoring machine and he died 8 years before I was born.
I've been supporting and watching Celtic for over 60 years now. I'm that old I saw Lisbon. Young at heart and love outdoor stuff especially in the West Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
My hero is my Da. He was the best guy I ever knew. A lifelong Celtic fan who ran up a beach under fire on D Day June 1944.
Jimmy Quinn was a quiet spoken and modest man, but with incredible athleticism & technical ability. When he hung up his boots he went back to his first job - down the coal mines.
Him and his like at every Club could show some of these present day overpaid primadonnas a thing or two about life and values.
