Frimpong >> Coquelin

Hell yeah I said it... Arsenal's midfield in 5 years should be

--------------Frimpong (Anchorman)---------------
--------Ramsey (playmaker)---------Wilshere (c) (box-box)-------

Assuming Ramsey actually turns out to be good then this would be a league winning midfield.

Is Frimpong better than Coqueilin ? HECK NO, but he compliments the others well he is an anchorman that limits himself well. He is very simple which I love... make the big tackle and then give it to Aaron or Jack.

Don't get me wrong Francis is a great tackler but like Song he likes to play a bit why have 3 in midfield tying to do the same thing?

Also this midfield being British (Frimpong actually is English guys) there would be a big drive from them.

I think people judge Frimpong off his silly media-attention but don't realise how much potential he has, as Riquelme (world class player) once pointed out.

Coquelin could always come in for Ramsey witth Jack pushing up but this midfield has perfect balance....

The best thing about this lot, is I believe they'll still be at the club by then, a more British team is what we need to solve our loyalty & money demanding issue IMO

Frimpong loves Arsenal more then the Coq.

That's all I can put in his favour really.

This is where many have it wrong Frimpong actually isn't bad on the ball I actually watch him carefully in games and he isn't as wild as many people thing and if he is... well look how far Song has come. I'd just prefer Frimpong having come through the youth ranks and having that determination. The lad can even strike a free kick he isn't that bad technically

Frimpong isn't a sixteenth of the player Coquelin is.

I think its easy to make the assumption hes poor technically because hes a tough tackling midfielder. I've been trying to find a full length video of the Liverpool game where we lost 2-0 because I seem to remember thinking I've not seen someone dominate a midfield like that since we had Vieira but I'd need to see it again before I make statements like that.

Frimpong is an imposing physical presence, no doubt and as such he's already cornered a fairly niche market in this particular group of players. He is also a decent ballplayer - not top class - but that's all about experience.
I do fancy Coquelin more as a player though.
Not sure about the whole " assuming Ramsey turns out to be good "
I'd rate him light years ahead of Frimpong and The Coq.

Frimpong is our Balotelli

Frimpong is an average player, will make a decent career at an average premier league club. Coquelin can become a world-class ball-winning midfielder.

I've also been looking for this video and yes I agree he has been dominant at times and I really think people are judging him off his immature persona rather than his pitch displays which is a shame really, if he sticks at it he can make a long career at Arsenal
