In that case, Hodgson should be a great success with England.

Hodgson was sacked on 21 November 1998 after Rovers lost 2-0 at home to Southampton.
Southampton rose above Rovers, leaving them bottom of the table. The bottom three were;
Nottingham Forest 10
Southampton 10
Blackburn Rovers 9
Just two months earlier, Roy had been the bookies' favourite to succeed Glenn Hoddle as England manager.

^^^^^^^^How many had we played at that time? 15?

Yeah but Kidd, signed Matt Jansan, so it was worth getting relegated, got 2 saw a quality player, pity he missed his prime years.

Yeah agree with that one why ride a motorbike without a helmet what a waste of a career

I heard he was wearing a motorcycle helmet and that's the only thing that prevented him from being killed.

All footballers have it in their contracts that they can't ride motorcycles (i believe).

Matt Jansen was due to go to the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Tokyo - he had even been measured for his suit. At the very last minute, Sven Goran Eriksson decided to take Martin Keown instead.
Jansen and his girlfriend - now his wife - took a break in Rome. He was riding a scooter - and wearing a helmet - when he was hit by a taxi at a crossroads.
