Simple question really. Who in your opinion had all the tools necessary to reach the pinnacle if world football, but didn't fulfil that potential?
My vote goes to Arturo Lupoli. This guy along with Giuseppe Rossi was earmarked as being the future of Italian football. He scored 27 goals in 32 games for our reserve team in the 2004-05 season, and had some of the biggest clubs in Italy chasing after him. Where is he now? Playing for U.S Grossetto in Serié B. Whereas Rossi, despite his team being relegated has proven himself at the highest level and had Barcelona after him. A crying shame.
Biggest Waste of Talent in Football?

"I hate to say it but of current players its got to be RVP.
Hes a great player but what has he won?"
Winning something, and fulfilling your potential is not the same thing. There are plenty of great players who've won f all.

Yes but RVP probably would have with us if it wasnt for year after year of injury so hes had one good season instead of a career being known as one of the best players in the world.

Reyes for me. I thought he had more talent than Ronaldo and RvP at the time, but just goes to show its all about attitude.
I gotta give it to Ronaldo. When he was a teen, many other players of his age group were as good as him, but he's the only one to have fulfilled his potential.

Sebastian Deisler - the greatest talent in German football in the last 20 years, but couldn't cope with the pressure.

Matt Le Tissier's career was a bit of a waste really. Had he moved to a bigger club, he could have won titles and could have got into England squads where with his penalty record could have helped us get further into tournaments. Not that his playing ability wouldn't have helped us anyway.

Eduardo. If it wasn't for that horrific leg break injury I genuinely believe he would of been one of the best strikers in the world.
