How do I feel about AVB? I think we should all take a deep breath sit back and give the guy a chance. Over many years of supporting this great club of ours I have seen our board go left field on many occasions (far to many if you ask me!) with various degrees of success. There have been the great (Bill Nick, Keith Burkinshaw) the good (David Pleat, Terry Venables and to a certain extent Harry) the bad (Terry Neill, Gerry Francis), and the downright bloody stupid (Christian Gross, Jacques Santini) with to many others who were indifferent. As you can see from above the ones I have rated as being good were the only ones with any real experience of managing in the top flight before they came to us, even Bill Nick had never managed before. So yes the chances of AVB being a success appear to be on the slim side but hey we are Tottenham and since when did we ever do anything the easy way? I sometimes think that the life expectancy of the average Spurs fan must be about 10 years less than fans of any other club but that is the price you pay for supporting a club that plays football wearing its heart on its sleeve, and we wouldnt have it or tolerate it - look at how we hated the way Graham and Francis wanted us to play, any other way. At least AVB looks like he likes to set up to play the Tottenham way so lets give him time and maybe accept that next season we may not make top 4 but a cup would be nice so no more kids in the Europa or FA cups, so bring us some silver! Long gone are the days when a season could be played with 15 or 16 players we need all 26 to be ready to play so yes rotation is the key. There are certain games you need to change tactics and therefore personel and In think Harry was so set on his 4-4-2 and his 1st 11 that he couldnt change things when needed. With AVB I hope we will see a bit more flexibility and more use of the whole squad without the need to change 6 or 7 players for cups that we really should be trying to win

I look forward to us actually setting up differently against different teams and maybe even getting a result against United! This guy has clearly got ideas coming out of his earholes, he just needs a group of players that will listen.

I think the majority of the squad we have will want to listen and learn, we have pace and energy to spare all over the pitch ideal for the pressing style that AVB likes
