Gradels wages to 10k, but his agent came back and said no we want 15k, for the club to say no but after a few days his agent says we will take the 10k.
Would you think it would be right to tell gradel to get lost
If the club offered to double

koppie yes we have but in my opinion only due mainly to the manager we have altho i think people will disagree! but look at leicester and west ham and the calibre of players they have bought already! were miles behind! getting near there ambition in the transfer market and we seem to be selling our promising players!

Fortress
Totally agree, and I wouldn't put anything past that lot at west ham, run by grubby pervets

ehhhh whats all the talk about selling our best players under Bates. Can anyone name a player who we should not have sold under KB. (do not name Kasper as there is too much debate if he was actually good or not) He could have sold Beckford for 2mil but let him go on a free to help the club gain promotion and we made some very good money out of Delph, he wasnt worth the money villa bought him for, with his minimal experience.

sqandy, can you name the last player we signed for a fee?
Do you know our cheapest ST is £612?
You can buy a ST at villa for £360 and many lancs PL teams for around £300
As for the Delph fee,was it invested in new players? Many of our youngsters were poached by PL clubs and compensation was received, where is it?
Also why let your best player run down his contract to less than 1 year to go? Gradel is our key man but does he feel wanted?

koppite says he doesn't like to comment on players he hasn't seen, I guess he can't comment on Leeds ticket prices as he's not seen a Leeds ticket for 20 years.....

This is my thoughts now
If the player rejected the offer, went to talk to another club, didn't get the deal they wanted, came grovelling back, good on the club
If the player agent was just doing his job, and trying to get Abit extra, and we've lost a player, on wages we were willing to pay, not sure that good management
Like I say tough one

Agree with this, with one caveat for the first opinion, if the player came back and he was key to us achieving our aims I would re-open negotiations.

Jonty, and so would anybody with at least half a brain but if the club has opened up negotiations with a preferred alternate before the smart Rs agent returned they are within the their rights to tell him to jog on as has the player if it was the agents own strategy.
