Giggs

"Ryan Giggs will only decide whether to extend his Manchester United career by another season next summer. He says he will only continue if he can contribute."

With Sir Alex easing out Giggs and Scholes from our games recently, do you think this will convince Giggs it's time for him to hang up his boots at the end of the season? He's been a very loyal veteran to our club and he deserves the utmost respect from fans, but in my opinion it's the end of the road for him and I hope he becomes involved upstairs with the club like Cole and Neville.

Its been a pleasant surprise to see Scholes hasn't played for a good few weeks now. Don't get me wrong, I think Scholes can still do a job, but it looks like fergie's finally letting go of them and putting some faith in the likes of clevs and ando.

I just hope the 2 of them stay fit, or we're back to square one.

Nice to see you talking normal again Arab - Yesterday I kept seeing you on the Arsenal board with caps lock and swearing hysterically!

As for Giggs he'll retire only when there is guaranteed 3-4 players occupying the middle of the park. For now we can only guarantee Carricks name. Until the other names don't make the positions their own, he'll still be able to contribute.

I was on their match thread Phoenix because it was a bit livelier than WKC's, and the Arsenal fans are funny when their team is playing

I believe Giggs' days as a starter should be effectively finished. However he still has the creative ability to be a useful impact sub, and both he and Scholes are excellent at seeing out games. I still love to watch them both play, and as a bit of a romantic, i will be devastated when they both retire.

Giggs probably isnt united quality anymore but could easily stillnplay for lower clubs. But for the life of me i dont understand why he hasnt retired yet he has money trophies fame ect and he is quite old now aswell.
