'3 YEARS OVERDUE STRIKER' - is he coming?

'NEW STRIKER' or 'MARQUEE STRIKER' never came to Tottenham in the past couple of seasons. It was all either a myth by the media or they turned us down.
Now in the current transfer window, us Spurs fans are wondering whether '3 YEARS OVERDUE STRIKER' will be joining Tottenham before the end of January.
An accelerated process to recruit 3YO STRIKER may now have to swing into action following Ade's change of mind regarding ACON, and frankly his poor performances and lack of team spirit or effort.
I am definitley not ITK regarding whether 3YO STRIKER will be joining us, I just hope Levy opens his purse strings and brings in some much needed force up front. We don't need any more midfielders. Get flippin 3YO STRIKER now please!

Mourinho, Guardiola, SAF & even Benetiz are highly thought of around Europe - AVB simply isn't.

----

To be fair AVB is only 35.

Finally found someone who loves Dons' "open shirt" look ...

Dembele

But as far as up-and-coming manager's go, he's one of the best.

=================

Well, that wasn't what the quote was. The quote was "highly regarded around Europe" & as i say, if you asked football fans around europe to name managers they hold in high regard, i cannot imagine AVB would be on the tip of anyone's tongue - unless maybe from the Portuguese.

For me, he's taken a club on who finished 1pt from 3rd last season, and if Chelsea win their game in hand (versus Southampton) then we'll be there or there abouts, as it stands. As such, league position wise its looking okay on the face of it but i'm not sure anyone around europe will think he's doing anything too spectacular.

if AVB wasnt highly regarded around Europe, then why did Abramovich pay whatever he paid to bring him to chelsea?

or is he suddenly not highly regarded around europe any more?

i would suggest that pretty much any manager who has won a european trophy is highly regarded around europe.

i would suggest that simeone is being monitored by several top clubs tbh. he is already at a top club though i suppose.

What about Flores, Lucescu & Advocaat? Would you have been happy to see any of them appointed at Spurs?

if you think back to the summer, you may or may not remember me saying that i didnt really know who i wanted in charge - wasnt overly bothered as there was no realistic candidate that i didnt particularly want, and that i would trust levy to bring in the right man.

it seems like he has

So if Advocaat had been available, and chosen :

In Levy I trust ??

Chronic,

What, by being in a slightly worse position than we were last season, just half way through?

Anyway, this wasn't a Spurs / AVB debate, just that i dont agree he is highly thought of around Europe. If he was, he would have taken on a club who qualified for the CL, its what all in-demand managers (& players) generally do.
