With Cardiff ten points clear of the Championship and Swansea playing their endearing brand of football becoming everybodies 2nd team, there will be two Welsh teams in the Premier League next season. So i'm just wondering how people would feel if Rangers and Celtic were allowed in the Premier League. I have a couple of Scottish friends who are adamant with the size of their clubs and the stadiums that they would become one of the top 4 teams in the Premier League within a few years (I argue top 10). Personally i'd like to see it as it would improve the quality of the league.

The scots didnt want anything to do with England that's why there Fa is completely separate, the welsh Fa didn't have a problem that's why Welsh teams are allowed to play in the English league.
Sorry Scotland but your not wanted.
Stay up there and enjoy your league, lets face it no one else will
Weird behaviour, we want total independence but we would like a piece of the action when it comes to a league like the prem.

It's incredible how uneducated some people on here are. They just run their mouths off without having a clue what they are talking about.
For starters just because the party that is currently in power in Scotland (SNP) has had the go ahead from Westminster for a referendum on independence does not mean all Scots want it. The opinion polls currently show that the vast majority are in fact against independence. People on here should not be so thick as to draw parallels between two football clubs and a political party with it's own separate agenda. It's ignorance of the highest order.
As for the poster who said Cardiff and Swansea are better than the old firm? Well if the old firm had the same amount of tv money those clubs get they would blow both of them out of the water. Oh and by the way Celtic are currently in the last 16 of the CL having knocked out Benfica (who knocked out United last season) and Spartak Moscow...they also drew 3-3 over two games against Barca. Does anyone think the current Swansea and Cardiff teams could have done that? Honestly some people need their brains looked at.
I'm a United fan but i know for sure if Celtic and Rangers were ever in the PL they would soon both be permanent fixtures in there and easily pushing for top ten maybe even higher in Celtic's case. They have a vary large worldwide following.

after what Rangers fans did in Manchester after the Europa final I would never want Scottish clubs in England, they do not know how to behave.
It would not be to the advantage to a single Premier League club, to the FA, to the Premier League as a whole (we dont want sectarian troubles here thanks) , or the the police and law enforcement.
Dont expect it to happen any time soon.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with Siempre!

The lad is bang on. The nuisance factor that both Celtic and Rangers would bring would have the police very concerned. Even for London friendlies, Celtic have been known to bring a mob of 15,000+. Imagine how many would travel anywhere for a crunch league fixture...!
A can of worms best kept sealed.

Have to agree with the sentiments above.
There is enough trouble with our own drunken youth in England without wanting to add a few thousand chip on shouldered, kilt wearing maniacs from Scotland.

If you want to introduce scottish teams, why not northern ireland well. As part of the uk, they would have as much claim.
