There aren't many out there who think that PES is superior to Fifa, not any more. And yet, here I am, declaring that Fifa is boring and I will be going back to Pro Evo.
Fifa has almost everything going for it. EA have all the licenses, all the proper team names, player names, competitions, logos, you name it. The player database is massive and allows its users to play as teams so obscure that even the most avid football fan would have been otherwise clueless to their existence.
Whereas PES...well...PES doesn't even compare. The very idea of playing as "North London Red" or "Manchester Blue" is unthinkable to most and that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are plenty of things you can criticise Pro Evo for (if you ask me, the music is the worst part) but there are two things that Pro Evo does better than Fifa.
1) The gameplay is more enjoyable. When you get right down to it, Pro Evo is much more fun. Shouldn't that be the most important part of a football sim?
2) The user interface doesn't make me want to throw my Xbox into the sea. EA have done nothing to address this. The menu system was always clunky, hard to use and I had a difficult time learning how to find certain things (like the soundtrack to turn off some of the dire tunes they pick). And the pain I experience whenever I want to change my teams formation, oh sweet jesus. It's awful compared to PES. Pro Evo makes it so straight forward and easy to use. Fifa has kept this the same for years, refusing to even acknowledge how sh|tty it is.
So there you have it. Only two things that PES does better than Fifa (three if you include the slight graphical edge it has over Fifa). But these two things have convinced me to make the switch back to PES.
If only the two could join forces then maybe we could have a football sim worth playing. Sigh...

Over the top through balls are easy to defend on FIFA 13, in fact whenever someone does it I kind of laugh and think how useless they are.

Used a different USB with an old family film on and it works fine, hasn't been formatted or anything. Don't know what that was about. Just put the option file on that USB and now that should work fine.

No. It's just the momentum system offline and the appalling matchmaking online (possibly some sort of handicap system in UT but I'm beginning to doubt that, it's just there are too many factors which add to the constant BS)

I dont think one is necessarily better than the other, more just what you prefer.
Though if you was a fan of PES back in the day I highly recommend picking up the new one, is back to it's best and is the best edition yet IMO
Highlight recently was scoring a manually aimed 35 yard volley from a corner kick against my mate! top corner. Was epic!

I would quite say back to its best but I definitely think the gameplay is very good this year, I much prefer it to FIFA 13.
Lovely My best goals so far were a Toivonen volley from the edge of the box, looping across the face of goal, over Lloris and nestling in the net to beat France 3-2 with Sweden and a Michel Bastos scorcher from 25 yards for Schalke against Dortmund, a bit similar to Bale's against Spurs in that he took one touch and then leathered it, but across into the top right.
I still think that despite its limitations PES 6 plays the most realistic game of football on the pitch.

My best goals I always forget as I only remember the situations, not so much how they happen. Coming back from down 1-0 in the 85th min to score the winner in a CL semi final against Real Madrid when the clock disappears because there is literally no time made me run around like a mad man.
