"Players gave their all" says Foxes boss Nigel Pearson

Hull 78
Watford 77
Brighton 69
Crys Pal 67
Bolton 66
Leicester 65

Charlton 61
Not the finished table I know - we have played one more game so far, so it could be worse..
I've kept pretty quiet over the season regarding performances and manager debates, but now I've decided to have my say on the whole thing.
First of all I can see 'some' good Nigel has brought to Leicester City this second time round, but unfortunately the negatives are glaring obvious!
And the final product a damning reminder of the stubborn inconsistent averageness!
Judge a manager after a full season, well this guy's had more than that. Let's look at the whole picture: Carrying on from the back end of last season which was mediocre at best, our away form at the start of this season was atrocious, our decent run of home games and a few large wins sees us looking healthy. Then nothing is questioned, but soon to follow are a catalogue of already made and about to make errors:
*Vardy signing
*Team sheet for Burton League Cup game, followed by...
*Danns loan out (made clear with defeats in the middle of the season where our plan A is sent wanting in tight crucial games)
*Not replacing Danns (Danns isn't superb, but we missed him)
*The Biggest one of all for me; Team sheet for Huddersfield away (Wood rescuing a replay late on) And the replay at ours.. This defeat was the catalyst for the real Nigel Pearson's Leicester City to go full bore into the worst and very worrying run of form.
I could include many substitution errors and tactic ineptness, and more loan decisions, but there is not enough room.
Big errors, unfortunately outweighing a couple of good runs (which to be fair most teams have a some point) and the manager has to take responsibility.
It pains me to see Hull (Where were they when Nigel left? roundabout where we are now not too sure), but now look like their going up. Charlton could finish above us and Forest too..
"Players gave it their all" That's all very well and maybe true, but their your players Nigel, it's your team and your team has been poor, very poor at times, but most of all over the course of a season - Average. Players with qualities and flair have been sucked into a big Nigel Pearson hole of averageness! The good he does is plunged away somehow
Rant over! You may want to add more bullet points, or chastise me for being so negative. But that's how I see it.
Bring on next season, it's all good fun

It's okay, if Palace lose on Tuesday there will still be 2 places up for grabs next Saturday, then either Palace have to lose again, and or Bolton draw or lose. Then if we beat Forest we will win the play-offs after beating Watford twice home and away, again...oh wait a minute!

"win the play-offs after beating Watford"
This may need editing to 'Hull' after their performance today

I think our best hope is if the teams from Brighton down all go into administration and have 10 points deducted, we could scrape in to the play-offs - then it would be "back in our hands"

Still there for the taking, what a massive match next week, you couldn't have made this ending up if you tried!

There for the taking?! Yep cos Bolton have a terrible home record and Blackpool have everything to play for...

Good job football never throws up surprise results for you then eh!

Not at the end of January you couldn't, that's for sure. At that point we looked nailed on for the play-offs: who would have thought we could screw things up quite so royally?
Maybe just those who have never really believed in Pearson.

In what alternate universe did the players give their all? The first half especially was a disgrace.
It was if we didn't have the chance to go back into the play-off places and potentially save the season.

Yes, Mr Pearson, those responsible should "give their all" in terms of financial recompense to mugs like me who traipsed half the country last night.
