PS4 vs ONE

Ok ladies and gents, the lines have been drawn..................well sort of. We have seen the contenders. What do you think?

For Me

PS4 - Had some nice looking games and the event was overall better as a gamer. On the downside wasnt that impressed with the new dash and the random game sharing stuff.

Xbox ONE - Erm both the name and the actual look of the system have grown on me, started off a grown now i actually like both. Really like the dash and multitasking. Not too impressed with the games and TV stuff outside of the US.

Also no answer about 2nd hand games or always on.

Still leaning towards PS4 especially with M$ doing deals with the Devil (EA) and looking at the more mainstream audience with COD and FIFA etc.

However, E3 is around the corner so this could all change over the next few weeks.

What do you guys think?

Simon I'm not sure how you can have any opinions on the games from cutscenes alone. All we can basically go off of is the tech/physical side of the console, the features and possibly the game titles. Everything else is hype at the moment. Looking forward to some gameplay footage....from anything.

I bought a PS3 as soon as it came out. Apart from the games being less playable than the PS2, it also broke within 4 years.

Someone informed me that the first batches of new consoles are rushed and tend to break quicker than ones which come out a year later.

So I'll wait at least a year before getting a PS4, by which time some effort would have been put into the games.

Well RTM on the game front it is easy, Sony showed close to 30minutes of footage from all different IPs, M$ showed us a trailer for CoD..........quite an easy one that.

myhammers its not they are rushed it is that unknown problems occur that will only be found from mass usage and then its only a small percentage - i got my 360 on day 1 and it didnt red ring for 6 years, most my friends that i know of had no problems either.

No, it's not easy. You've basically deemed CGI cutscenes are worthy representations of games. I'm sure most people realize that's not the case. All they have given us are billboards of coming titles. Nothing more.

RTM what ever my friend - you just seem to be after an argument for some reason - Sony showed lots of in game footage, not too sure how you are confusing that wih cgi cut scenes. M$ showed as a cgi cut scene of CoD, sorry not even that the trailer for CoD and telling us they have done a deal with the devil for early access to DLC woohooo. So based on both these reveals Sony done a much better job on the game side of things imo. By all accounts give your opinion but dont by any means tell me i am wrong!

You seem to think I am taking Microsofts side. I am not. I think both reveals were pretty awful honestly. I am just wondering how you and some people have come to the conclusion that Sony (why not $ony?) is definitely going to better at this point.

I didnt - just said Sony done a much better reveal for the gamer and anyone looking at it from on the fence would be siding slightly more for Sony atm due to the lack of info from M$ and what seems to be the total disregard for gamers at this reveal, as i also pointed out E3 is around the corner and much can change. Also as well there was game play footage for Knack, Drive Club, Watch Dogs and Killzone at the reveal which like i also said was a landslide victory for Sony on the game front as well as another 5+ games there in cgi format Vs M$ Forza looking about as good as GT6 (again i think this is some good @sshole marketing by Sony leaking pics this week) and CoD trailer

Xbox is dead to me.

They have taken gamers for a ride with having to pay a fee to activate a pre-owned game.

And you cannot share a game. You could lend your game to a friend. But he has to log into your account to play it without paying a fee. If you want to play on your console at the same time, you will need to have a different account. And then comes the big thing.

Multiple people in one house, using one console, each having their own account. What this would mean is, that each person has to pay an activation fee if they wish to play the game when useing their own accounts.

So what happens here? Do you make individual accounts for each game, so if you do lend a game to someone, you can still play your own games?

Xbox is dead. Fook them.

If Sony do the same, then fook all the game industry, I will go out of my way to pirate the games and play them on my computer. You might say some games cannot be played on PC, you're right. I just have to wait for the emulators to come out and then give it a go.

The best way to stop them doing this crap is to say "Fook off, I ain't paying for this." If they lose sales, they will think again.

Rez: Well said. It is abundantly clear there are pirates on both sides of the games, and entertainment, industry.

I'm not overly impressed with Xbox one. Ps4 certainly blew them out of the water with their reveal.
However, e3 is round the corner like you said, hopefully Xbox has put their eggs in that basket, if not, I'm switching to ps4
