Well this is a good way to motivate the boys:
Taken from the Sunday Mirror:
"To win it, you have to have five or six world-class players. We’ve not got that" admits manager as West Brom win at Old Trafford
Moyes said: “To win the Champions League you have to have five or six world-class players.
“If you look at Bayern Munich, they have five or six really world-class players, and to win it you might have to have that in your squad.
“Look at Barcelona, who had it in the past, and Real Madrid have maybe got it now.
“That’s the level you have to get at to win it. We’ve not got that yet. What we have got is experience and several players who are in that category or close to it."
=======================
While he may be right I suspect that the Basel coach will be telling his players they can do a Porto/Monaco and go all the way to the final. I doubt even the Austria Vienna coach will be talking like this.
With a long trip to Ukraine the boys will be super fired up won't they?
CL chances written off by Moyes

So you agree with my point I have been making all these years that British players are a problem.
Chelsea spine all these small technical players they have are all foreign. Whilst we have Welbeck Young Cleverly.
Not long ago you were out in full force on my article along with the likes of dunc etc.

My mistake, I didnt realise Anderson and Valencia were british..
Also what area of south america did rooney, giggs, rio, scholes etc come from?

It doesn't matter where a player is from, a sub-standard player is sub-standard. British players have been amongst the best in the world in recent years: Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Rio, Cole, Bale...

"I must admit he does come across as the proverbial deer in the headlights."
Moyes looks like a deer caught in the headlights even when relaxed. Useful for poker, where he will always appear to have a pair of twos, but useless for just about anything else where a calm demeanor is required.
Get him out NOW

If Moyes had told the media we had a squad full of world class talent capable of competing with real, bayern and barca the same people criticising him now would be telling us all he is bat shìt crazy

I think it would be best if he stopped talking as much as he is.
In the transfer window he suggested he did not mind if we made no signings as the squad had been good enough to win the league by a fair distance.
Now he is saying the same squad + plus his addition does not have much quality.
Im all for giving Moyes his chance ... but my confidence in him is diminishing as the weeks go by.

Agreed. These two stances don't seem to sit together very well.

I agree with this fully, he does seen to be talking a bit too much on things that do not require a comment. That's the main thing which is totally in his control which he has failed so far, handling the press, like it or not it's a big part of being manager at top club.
