Despite the signing of Uchechi Meggy is still wanting a striker and a winger despite signing him.

Also it seems that Meggy now feels that quality in depth is needed otherwise he wouldnt have gone for Lines, he obviously feels that just because we can afford a player that he likes, even though we may not need him, he'll go for him anyway, this suprises me as the other week he was saying that we dont need a big squad but a compact squad was the way forward, now I have no qualms about Lines, never even seen him play so im reserving judgement till I do see him play but Meggys sudden change of heart (as it seems) has left me thinking that MM perhaps isnt happy with a small squad, I dont know but then again all Meggys signings have for me been good and signed the type of players to fit in with his style of play so I do trust Meggy to create a team thats hard to beat and that can win games, whether or not Lines and Uchechi are going to help us go forward reamins to be seen as I never heard of either before yesterday and not the players we all expected.

I must be the only one that is quite excited about signing a Nigerian under 21 and 23 international who is still only around 21 years old?

Granted he wasn't amazin last night but for god's sake give him and the others a chance, ps Line has a decent 3 yr contract, isn't that alot for a squad player?

I am getting a bit jealous of the nic names, Monsty, Consy grrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't know about 'folk' but I'm labelling them uninspiring and not exciting because I've looked at their career history and they ain't done a great deal and noone is exactly singing their praises.

the trick is to get the best out of unknown or unrated players instead of forking out millions on players who have a fantastic c.v.! Meggo obviously sees something in these players which suits his style of play and will no doubt turn them into what he wants, upgrading their status and market value on the way! Players often up their game when going to a bigger and better supported club and, depending on the players around them, should give a much improved performance! Prutton has so far demonstrated my case when compared to his performances with Swindon! In megson I trust!!

trueblue

Hope you're right. I don't expect us to fork out millions - just thought someone like Le Fondre would be better. I guess there's no guarantee he'll get goals either mind.

If the forwards get the right service, the goals will come!!
