During yesterdays game, i heard a worrying stat from the commentator. Out of our last 8 league losses, 7 have been on the Sunday after a Europa game.
I can accept peoples views that we should give the cups a full go but if we are not good enough to be competitive in the league and Europe surely one competition has to be sidelined..My thoughts are that we should leave a sqaud of our top 16 players for the league and play the others in Europe.
If we do make the CL places we can always improve the quality of the squad to compete in Europe and the league but right now i think that a top 4 place is vital and we should do everything to achieve that even at the expense of the cups.
Is Europa Cup hampering us?

You think the current Spurs squad is not strong enough for the EL competition?
Wow, you dont have much faith in what must be one of the better squads in the league!

We are good enough for Europa but it's the league games after a Europa match that is a concern. 7 league losses after europa games tells a story.

If we can't handle EL then CL is pointless. Also we make like 9 changes between matches so it shouldn't be affecting us.
I didn't see the match live, but from what i've heard and from MOTD I didn't think we looked too bad

Well the calenders at the training ground need turning back one day to make players think you are kicking off on a saturday

No I do not believe that is the case.
Just as an example Messi and Ronaldo play every week and there performances never drop.
Ok there special talents but the premise is the same play 90 minutes of football every few days.
To be fair we are the luckiest team in Europe with the way our group turned out. Anzhi selling all their players in the space of a month, Tromso losing easily but getting reinstated at the expense of Besiktas and Sheriff Moldovas finest. That international powerhouse Moldova.

But very unlucky in the "illnesses" that the fixture list triggers in some of the squad.
