When both of the two play it can be a bit of a disaster.
However, when he is with someone more mobile in mf he is so much better.
We play a more fluid game when he starts.
He maybe slightly out of his depth in cl but very solid in the league.
Arteta is a better option than Flamini!

Our defence has been suburb this season and I believe Flamini has helped this happen.
You can't say it is those two who caused us to lose against city and UTD. We could have beaten city if we did not have a big game during the week and UTD was a bloody nightmare and none of our players put in a good performance,

Arteta and Flamini are different players being forced to play similar roles. Arteta has always been an attacking midfielder until he came to Arsenal, and Flamini is a defensive player. So it depends what role you are talking about. Flamini is combative but can be needlessly dirty, and he needs to cut that out of his game. He was actually surprised to be sent off against Southampton yet that was a clear red card, and the club rightly decided not to appeal.

I can see your point DJ. I agree with you on that.

Viera was needlessly dirty too!

OK, so your logic, just so I'm absolutely clear :
Because we have been top of the league for the majority of the season, every single one of our players is now irreplaceable and literally cannot be improved upon.
Is this correct?

Agree with you about our weak spots DJ. Think both of these will be addressed in the summer.

Arsenal team news says Diaby will be back in March, so that means he may be fit enough to play the last game of the season but will get injured for the whole of next season in the process. It means he doesn't have to worry about interrupting his summer holidays with a pre-season.
