FFP Man city and PSG under 20 clubs failed!

to comply with FFP. Interesting to see what the sanctions are.

"The whole fining clubs who are spending outwith their means seems like a ridiculous sanction... This business is heavily in debt I know lets Give them another huge bill?

Any club fails they should be transfer restricted say 1/2 signings a window, then transfer banned 1 window, then 1 season and if they still refuse out of Europe for 3 seasons!"

UEFA can't impose transfer bans, they don't have the jurisdiction. All they can do is impose fines or sanctions related to their own competition.

I agree though, a fine seems rather odd. This first wave of sanctions was never going to be much though, regardless of what people thought it would be.

Whoever finishes 5th should replace city in the cl, and 6 th gets the europa spot, so everton for the cl!

Or dock points for the next season, say 10 points or something.

Flimsy fines are never going to teach 'any' club anything, the real punishments in football are bans or points docked.

the chairmen of each club need to suffer some form of public corporal punishment. Maybe a paddling would do it.

If PSG weren't one of the clubs who didn't comply then I wonder if the sanctions would have been deductions/kicking out etc. Platini is as bad as Blatter

Right, you can't dock points or do anything domestically as UEFA have sod all to do with anything apart from their own competitions. Bear in mind that it is only clubs that are in Europe that have been asked to comply. If Liverpool were in the CL, they would have failed too.

When it comes to the sanctions, Platini has nothing to do with that either. The sanctions were never going to be that bad first time round though as they won't want clubs to contest it. If they accept the fine, or whatever the sanction is for each individual club, then they accept ffp as an ongoing principle.

City have lost just over £150m in just two seasons. And that's even with a highly questionable deal with Etihad to compensate for the loss, otherwise it could and would have been even bigger.

City fans will OBVIOUSLY disagree with this but their club is going nowhere without continued financial doping from the Sheikh and companies he has interest in.

Considering it's a first reported offence, a fine was always going to be the most likely punishment. But it needs to be in the millions, rather than the thousands with a threat of transfer embargo and then expulsion from the CL for future breaches of the rules.

Oh dear Stretty, sorry to spoil your breakfast but the maximum fine is 100,000 euros.

If City do get a fine, say of 1 million euro, would they start next year's balance sheet €1m down, ie does that count towards FFP, paying fines, unlike spending on infrastructure

I'm hoping Fellaini has a good world cup and we can trick somebody into thinking he's a footballer.

He's managed to trick Robb though
