Lampard's legacy.

Is it just me or is it getting increasingly irritating seeing Lampard nowadays....? The smile on his face, the vigor and enthusiasm he shows on the pitch and I watched the Man City dinner and some words he used to describe how he felt at City while Christine was with him was betraying to me as a Chelsea fanatic.
Now I'm the biggest Lampard fan out there. I've always been (even though my affection for him declines with every city game) and i'll always cheer whenever I see him but as a Chelsea fan, he is really starting to become annoying with his performances in a City shirt.
I know it's his new team; he is the ultimate professional and all that but can someone tell him he is 36 and needs to slow down...? I mean, what more does he want? to win the league with city and betray millions of his childhood fans and all?

At this point, I'm sure a lot of people will be disagreeing with this article but let's examine some scenarios here:
1. It's may 2015 and it's the final week. City are top of the table (Heaven forbid that) and Lampard has scored 25 goals during the season. City then go on to win the division;
2. It's the final week of January 2015 and City come to stamford bridge with Super Frankie in their team (with Chelsea still unbeaten) and they beat us 1-0 by a Lampard goal or lampard pen. Won't that be heartbreaking?

I love Lampard so so so so so much and I think it is rather unfortunate that he has put himself in a position where I have to question his true loyalty and allegiance. After he scored at the Etihad and was interviewed later (with james milner), he refused to call City by name and simply said "them" or "this club" and I really enjoyed that interview. However, that is all long gone now.

Whenever I see Lampard's face in the newspapers or online, I don't see the hero of my teenage years anymore. He is starting to look more like Yaya Toure, Silva and the other city mercs. He no longer looks like the Chelsea legend I remember.
I'm starting to think he knew what he was doing by signing for the MLS team that was owned by Manchester City. There are tons of wealthy MLS teams and that was the only one that he could sign up for.... booo.

I know people will hate this article but I just had to get this off my chest. I'll be mad if City came to the bridge in January and our fans started singing his name' and then he scores he again! Urggh.

I love you lamps but I don't know anymore.

Does Lampard owe us something? All 211 goals and great performances yet we still selfishly expect him to retire or go abroad to Kazakhstan.

I don't understand the point of this article but let me sum it up with the lamps situation

Could have gone anywhere else, but he chose city, end of

And as far as the legacy thing goes, I don't think it was on lamps mind when he joined city

Any of you really think lamps gives a feck if he does what the op predicts

been cfc for 20 yrs and I say feck him too, 13 yrs and to prove a point your legacy is a long distant memory

Rather have a statue for proper legends like terry, drogba and Zola

You lot got rid of lamps not he got rid of you so show him the respect he deserves as he's your best ever player and is looking to further his career with the champions someone who wants him and if he goes onto win the league with city good luck to him I say.
