I assume this article is some kind of joke?

If you are going to leave a comment, why not leave one that was composed with some thought.
He is starting to look more like Yaya Toure, Silva and the other city mercs.

Pity the club didn't share your love of Lampard or they would have offered him a new contract

Could say the same about this whole article.
I love Lampard so so so so so much and I think it is rather unfortunate that he has put himself in a position where I have to question his true loyalty and allegiance.
---------------------------
Yeah, disgusting how he's actually doing a good job for the club that's paying his wages...
Why is it that whenever I post an article and I try to be reasonable (even though it might be unreasonable to some others); opposition fans always feel the need to come and take the mickey.

He was offered a new contract but didn't want to take a pay cut like Terry did. Other teams matched his salary. It's a shame if you ask me.
Don't get me wrong it's annoying as fack seeing him at City but like serial said they pay his wages and he's always gonna give 110% we should know that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No he's not he's MY new favourite poster, you leave him alone!
Lampard is a professional footballer. I am sure he loved his time at Chelsea, but he is not a fan. If Chelsea had halved his salary in 2006, he would have left then. Same with Fabregas, Arsenal did not want him so he went somewhere else. I did not expect him to retire at 27 just because Wenger did not bid for him.
He is starting to look more like Yaya Toure, Silva and the other city mercs.

Mercenaries? Really.
These players have been here for five years or so and have won many trophies.
As for Lampard, not wanted by Chelsea and many of your fans agree rightly or wrongly that he didn't warrant another contract with you.
I think what is bugging the op is that whilst only being at City for a few months he feels very much at home and wanted.
Frank rather likes Manchester.

Opposition fans can be very cruel and thoughtless at times. Perhaps some have replied in a churlish and condescending manner because they perceive you to be a spoilt plastic flag waving cockbadger ?
Just a thought like
Football fans are as fickle as $hit. It was the same crap with Fabregas. What do you want from former players? Because the club doesn't want them do you expect them to just hang up their boots, move to a lower league team or abroad? Lampard knew he could still play at the highest level, although not every week. City offered him a deal and he took it and is playing well so I say...good on him.

I'm very sure Lamps is a Chelsea fan. His former club (West Ham) booed him, called him names (while he was their player) and there are video proofs of all this on youtube. He didn't score a lot then but after joining Chelsea, he started to show his potential and eventually won everything to win in club football.
He kissed the badge so many times (lol) and we all mourned his mom's death at stamford bridge with him like a family. Surely, those are lifelong memories.
In conclusion, I'm so happy an Arsenal fan could leave such a thoughtful comment. cheers.
I love Lampard so so so so so much
