Loan Watch 2015/16 ... Part 6

Where Are They?

Serge GNABRY - West Bromwich Albion
Out of favour, and still not even getting into the matchday squad.

Yaya SANOGO - Ajax
Injured, not been since winning a penalty in a 2-2 draw v Twente.

WELLINGTON Silva - Bolton
Played 9 times, scored once. Sadly did his hamstring and is out for 10 weeks.

Gedion ZELALEM - Glasgow Rangers
Continues to play in a deep lying midfield role. Rangers are 'desperate' to extend the loan, which ends in January. Interesting to see if we let him stay or try moving him up a level.

Ainsley MAITLAND-NILES - Ipswich Town
Continues to be a star for Ipswich. Scored his first professional goal in the recent win over Bolton, and Big Mick continues to praise him highly.

Jon TORAL - Birmingham City
After a good start to the season, Toral found himself making short appearances off the bench. That changed last time out, where he scored v Fulham after starting. His performance led to the Birmingham boss calling him the MOTM.

Isaac HAYDEN - Hull City
Found himself out of the team since mid-September, although made a brief sub appearance last time out.

Chuba AKPOM - Hull City
Still finding goals hard to come by, despite starting a fair number of games. 2 goals in 11 starts and 5 sub appearances is very disappointing.

Daniel CROWLEY - Barnsley
Loan ended as promotion favourites Barnsley found themselves near the bottom of League 1. Ability was praised by the Barnsley manager, but probably not the right sort of midfielder for them at this time.

Carl JENKINSON - West Ham United
Remains an important player in WHU's good start to the season.

Wojciech SZCZESNY - Roma
Established started for Roma, despite missing 3 games through injury recently.

Damian MARTINEZ - Wolves
Won the battle with Ikeme to be Wolves #1.However, had to go off injured last game. Has performed well.

Stefan O'CONNOR - York City

------------

Maitland-Niles remains the stand-out, while Jenkinson proves himself a good PL right back. The keepers are doing well.
January could be interesting, especially for Zelalem, Gnabry and Sanogo. Crowley may go back out again. Alex Iwobi and Glen Kamara may join the players out on loan.

Gnabry is not returning in Jan.

Unlikely he will stay at WBA. Could end up with Remi Garde at Villa, or perhaps a Championship loan.

Good to see Szczesny is starting

Do people think it's gonna end up permanent there or somewhere else or will he fight Cech next season for a place.

I still have hopes for him tbh

Another season on loan I think would be best.

Zelalem surely has to step up another level? Playing at the equivalent of the Blue Square Premier atm

I'd like to see zelalem spend the rest of the season at rangers.

Then next season to play for championship team fighting for promotion or championship title

That way he could perhaps get used to physicality but also have to play for a team with high expectations in that certain league

Until January...

Stefan O'Connor has joined York City.

Yaya Sanogo had 10 minutes last night. Came on at 1-1, so you could say he won it for Ajax . Had 2 good chances, one he was denied by a last ditch tackle, the other he dragged wide.

Saw Sanogos brief appearance last night.. he looks worse for Celtic than he did for us.

Shame I really wanted him to turn it around and prove everyone wrong but even those small signs he showed against Liverpool/Bayern/Hull seem to have gone.
