Yaya is currently warming up with his new temporary team mates. He looks fit and raring to go.

Do you know if Zelalem is expected to go out on loan at all? I seem to recall him saying he may need a loan after the Under-20 World Cup, but haven't heard anything since.

Not heard anything. Looks like he will have another season in the reserves. Easy to forget he is only 18, seems like he has been with us forever.

Interested to see if Serge Gnabry will go on loan, especially with all the young wide prospects impressing in pre-season.

Isaac Hayden, Wellington Silva, Glen Kamara, Jon Toral and Emiliano Martinez seem likeliest to go on loan sooner rather than later.

He played with the U19 today and apparently rather well. Made a "cesc" like assist.
I hope he goes on loan but it is a bit worrying that the last 2 French kids might already be ahead of him in the picking order.

Ajax go into half time two up. Davy Klaasen with both goals. Yaya looking pleased.

Fair enough - didn't realise he was still so young!

Thankyou both for the responses

First Ajax sub, 74 minutes. Not Yaya.
2-1 Ajax, Rapid down to ten men.

Not looking like young Yaya will be getting a run out tonight.
About 10 minutes to go, Rapid Vienna have made it 2-2.

I spoke too soon...

Yaya replaces Arek Milik with 5 minutes to go.

Finishes 2-2.

It will be interesting to see if Yaya is able to make the most of this spell at Ajax and take the opportunity to surge ahead of Welbeck in the goalscoring contest, especially with Danny out injured.

Probably not.

Great idea for a thread, DJ Hope you keep it going throughout the season.

Will pop in from time to time to pretend to have seen enough of any of these guys playing actual football to give an actual opinion about them.

In the meantime, they are all future world class stars, apart from, of course, the ones that are utter, utter trash.

good idea for an article, always nice to read about youth and loanees, makes a change from the usual nonsense on here.

Wouldn't it be easier to just look at the loan watch page on the Arsenal website?

posted on 30/7/15

Go ahead. Sure they mention at all that Yaya played last night

Not much of a discussion on your own with the Arsenal website open is it?

maybe some sort of football forum is needed.... when people can chat about a myriad of subjects.... food for thought.

Lol! Yeah, wouldn't make for a great discussion. My immediate thought was that the info is generally already there but obviously they are light on detail.

This is more for discussing performances both during and after games, and general discussion of how our loanees are doing.

Carl is not involved tonight.
