Fook me. Not normally out on a Saturday night.
In the local and there is a DJ on.
All 80's stuff.
Take on me - Aha.
Funny how music brings back memories. Even songs you did not particularly like.

Didn`t realise Easterhouse was so old !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was born into it in 1958, don't know how long before that it was there
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They started building it in the middle 50s
as part of the slum clearances etc
my parents moved in to their house in garthamlock in 1954 and where one of the first in the scheme
easterhoose was being built at the same time
as to pubs there I think it was well into the 70s before the opened one
I know in garthamlock the "barge" was the only pub an was rough as feck ...at least 2 murders and multiple stabbings
now theres a marks and spencers ...ffs progress
but my wee hoose is one of the few not swept away
wonder if they will put up a blue plaque for me when im famous
