Gomez looked better for us at left back in 5 games than I've ever seen stones look for Everton in 2 and a half seasons.

Do not get the hype surrounding him at all. Never seen anything to suggest he'll even reach someone like Winton reids level

He showed a lot of promise and I think he needs to get back to basics instead of thinking he is Beckenbauer, but the rest of your statement either proves you haven't seen enough of him or you don't know what your talking about. Hope it's the first

Neither Barkley nor Stones, particularly Stones did anything that got you off your chair last night. Each was pedestrian in the extreme, no fight, no commitment, nothing. Why Barkley could have any gripe when he was subbed is beyond me, the lad just wasn't achieving anything.

Barkley had a good first half of the season to be fair.

Scoring and assisting regularly and being a match winner.

Since Xmas though his form has nosedived. I think a lot of the Everton players are just fed up with Martinez to be honest and half of them want him out or want to leave themselves.

Their team spirit has gone. Baines admitted as much and Martinez tried to claim he didn't mean it that way but Baines knew exactly what he was saying.

Martinez is doomed. The mancs will put the final nail in his coffin after they knock Everton out of the cup.

As for Stones, I think people are being too reactionary. First came the hype and now after a tail off in form the knives are out.

Centre backs tend to play there best football later in their careers. He is still raw and has lots to learn .

Neverton mugs believed he is worth £40mil.

Defending is not his strong point is it. Given the right coaching Stones could be a lot better but currently it looks like Everton committed a massive blunder in the summer by not taking Chelsea's massive cheque!

We could of lent them Ilori....he'd of done a better job than Stones has at times
