Hart
Walker Smalling Cahill Rose
Dier
Alli Rooney
Lallana Vardy Sturridge
Think that side is the best that England have right now (a fully fit Wilshere would be a better option than Rooney but hey ho).
This team against Slovakia

The front 3 are always going to struggle when you have Rooney as the creative option in centre mid, all he can do is 90 percent of the time is take a bad touch or hit a pointless ball to Walker.

Be interesting to see how our midfield, especially Rooney, copes with Slovakia's midfield two of Kucka and Hamsik who've been in good form.

I don't think we will cope. We'll have to rely on our attacking prowess, which means starting Sturridge and Vardy.

I would go with the side that started the 2nd half.
Kane and Sterling got their stay of execution, but failed to impress again. Neither deserve a start against Slovakia.
Barring the goals, I thought Sturridge and Vardy were actually not great, but they opened the game up for others. I would be close to starting Rashford, but think his presence off the bench is probably better at this stage
Hart has to be the next one looking at his place. Terrible mistake today, and escaped blame for Russia's too.

Vardy and Sturridge's movement seemed to scare the life out of Wales. Combined with Walker marauding forward with varying degrees of intent and skill, it proved too much for them. Personally, I prefer this 'all-action' approach to the pass it around and do sod all of the first 1.5 games.

Can't really argue to much with OP on this as i have absolutely no affinity, respect etc for ANY national team. Or anything with the n-word in for that matter.
however, i do believe that any line-up for any team should include the best available. Therefore:
hart
walker
smalling
cahill
rose
Dier
Rooney
alli
lallana
vardy
Kane
Or something like that, but what the eff
can only assume the OP has had a senior , or menopausal, moment with the comment about the (even by english midfielder standards) awfully ordinary wilshere.
either that or it was some vain/vague attempt at post modern irony that fails on all levels

To be fair to Rooney those 'pointless balls to Walker' culminated in 90% of our attacking play to good effect.
Best game I've seen from Walker in a England shirt.

I think Rooney has been pretty good.
Lallana and Alli in the side next time out with him should be ok for us

I thought his final ball could have been a bit better today though, too many at his man rather than in front to run on to with momentum

Both our fullbacks have played well in both games imo.
