is aiming to become the first player in 91 years to score in his first four competitive games for us when we play Hull on Saturday.
Do you think he'll do it?
Do you think he'll break the record and get to five when we play City?
Score predictions for the Hull game?
On a side note for the Fantasy Football bums, does anyone think Benteke could be a great shout for the cheap striker role at 7.4 or do you think it will take a while for him to get going with his confidence being smashed?

The Charity Shield isn't and never will be a competitive match, it's a glorified friendly with a trophy at the end. Always nice to win though.

It's a trophy if you win it and a meaningless game if you lose IMO.

It's a 100 year old competition isn't it? It's pretty meaningful imo.

Didn't RvN do this?

Where does it say that on wiki? The fact Italy play theirs in China shows how little they think of it. It's at the start of the season, teams aren't fully fit, it can't really ever mean much.

According to the united site it is.

It has history but it isn't that meaningful, hence why it's called the charity/community shield. It's a bit of fun. And it's memorable moments in time aren't great games or real quality, it's more trivial stuff like Keegan and Bremner getting set off.

Slm not.according to the United site. In fact no one has scored in their first three games for about 30 years.

Hull will be tricky if we are not on it this weekend

The community shield vs city a few years ago wasn't a 'nothing match' at all.
