Who will be the best - Bale or Giggs?

The Leftie Welsh Flyers. I write this due to the similarities of these players both being left footed attacking players, who are/were the national superstar for Wales.

In my opinion Ryan Giggs has been remembered as one of the finest players in the game, a flying winger at the beginning of his career, but evolving in his position over the years. He has had some fine moments (the solo goal vs Arsenal as an example amongst others) but I feel he remembered latterly as being a loyal one-club player, with an incredible appearance record, who has won it all as part of a successful team. In my opinion his longevity and winning record has become his legacy, rather than his individual brilliance. He had a mediocre career with Wales, albeit with an unremarkable team.

Gareth Bale is a (former) world record signing, has delivered many moments of brilliance in a mediocre spurs team, and gone on to be a success, testing himself abroad with Real Madrid. He has been a huge success with Wales (in a better team) and looks set to continue this trajectory, given his relatively young age.

Who do people think will be remembered as the better player?

I'm not talking about the players I'm talking about how they play as a team. This Wales team can defend for one. With or without Bale I think they're a strong unit. I don't think Bale carried them at the Euros either so it's not exactly true.

I think Bale is better anyway. Giggs didn't reach his current level.

Without Bale they would probably be a relegation favourite in the PL.

The 2002/03 Wales side were better in my opinion. Finished 2nd in qualifying which would have seen them through now.

Paul Jones, Delaney, Melville, Gabbidon, Speed, Davies, Savage, Pembridge, Giggs, Bellamy, Hartson.

Not sure what they'd do in the prem is relevant when talking about them at international level. Like I said, Wales had better players but this is obviously one of Wales' greatest teams - regardless of the talent in the squad. The Welsh lads I know have said the same thing.

Cos of bale

Yeah a lot of it is because of Bale. But their defensive organisation isn't because of him. That seems to keep them in games, they'd be facked otherwise.

Id argue a big part of that is cos of bale.

He's a leader for the team on and off the pitch, unlike Giggs who never gave a fack, Bale is Mr Wales and gives his national side his all. Inspires his teams to run extra hard, and push themselves as he leads by example.

What their defensive organisation? No that's down to the good job Coleman is doing.
