Narcos Netflix

So I started watching Narcos on Netflix, my brother had started watching it a good few months ago and recommended it to me but I pretty much put it off until last week, (I was thinking it probably won't be for me) what an idiot I was.

One of the best shows I've ever seen. What happens in this show would seem absolutely ridiculous, far fetched, and some what uncomfortable to watch if so much of this show wasn't based on true events.

It's about the story of probably one of the greatest criminals of all time (I read a story recently that adjusted for inflation Pablo Escobar would be the second richest man in the world, second to Bill Gates, and just ahead of Mark Zuckerberg), from his rise to his fall.

There's only going to be 2 seasons (10 episodes each), but I'd definitely say it's worth watching, absolutely brutal and makes Walter White's Heisenberg seem like a pansy, and this story was actually real!

If you like Narcos, I'd recommend watching the doc 'The 2 Escobar'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good call. Great docu
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What subscription service is it on? Netflix? Or is it a standard documentary on regular tv?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's part of the ESPN series titled "30 for 30."

I Kodi everything, so not sure who carries it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And just for anyone interested it's a documentary that juxtaposes the rise of the great Columbian football team of the early mid 90's and their ultimate downfall, against the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar with particular attention paid to how both affected the mood of the country as a whole.

Really good stuff

'if so much of this show wasn't based on true events.'

Stranger Things is brilliant. Did an article on it a while back.

The most underrated show on Netflix is Bates Motel. Some of the best acting you'll see in a TV show.

Yes!

Really in to Bates Motel, such an interesting program, I love Psycho as well...which helps. The kids in Stranger Things were brilliant, and I like how the show references 80's/90's Sci-Fi through-out, E.T, Predator etc.

Watched the first series of Narcos and thought it was good, the 2nd has been genuinely gripping, which is a credit to everyone involved because, similar to The People Vs OJ Simpson, you ultimately know how it will end.

Is narcos really gory violent, if so the Mrs probably won't be into it.

She lost interest in Jessica Jones when it got stabby cut bodies up and stuff them down the sinky.
