Although i personally don't care about this, I imagine some people would think twice about donating to unicef if their money is going on expensive flights for ex footballers.

You see the adverts 'just £2 per month could give a child running water' yet they'll happily shell out £7k on a flight for Beckham.

Indeed.

i generally don't support any campaign fronted by celebrities.

The times i have called and set up monthly dd's is when i have heard real stories about real people and what they have been through

I find it all quite funny to be honest. It's as if Ricky Gervais had written this persona for him on Extras.

Listened to him on Desert Island Discs the other day. Seeing as that was a special celebrating its anniversary and lasted an hour, it makes me think maybe he wasn't going to go on it unless it was a special episode?

Class act on the pitch don't care about him off it.
Sadly with the constant photos of his kids and their various travails into celebrity it is looking like a 'bringing up with the Beckhams' series to rival the Kardashians.
I absolutely loathe all things scouse for obvious reasons.

Someone from his PR team has denied this today.

The only way this snowballs into someone worse is if the actual emails are published and the media run with it for a few weeks.

Otherwise it dies down

At the end of the day he kicked a ball around. Whether true or not, why should he be admired/respected for that. You don't know his character.
