Just no no no, why do we need these players? The ones we have now are better anyway! Young in the CL? IMO out of his depth. IMO I don't rate him. IMO he's one of the biggest divers in the Prem.
Nasri? Well I wouldn't mind as much as Young, he's a good player, but again seems a bit lightweight for me. Nani is better anyway, so why do we need him? It seems to me that Fergie will just try pushing Nasri into the center of midfield and try play him in the Modric or Sneijder role.
Don't sign Nasri, sign Modric! Would probably be a better signing for us than Wesley as he's already proven PL class.
Our defence, now seems sorted for the next few years, and hopefully if we bring in De Gea that area is sorted too. Nani and Valencia on the wings, sorted (yes Nani needs to stay on the left unfortunately), but were crying out for a creative central midfield player, so why are we being strongly linked with wingers?! Why Fergie why!
All I know is Fergie will probably get it spot on as he nearly always does, and make me think how silly I was for worrying.
Thoughts on Young and Nasri?
PLEASE don't get Nasri & Young!

I just really like him. I love his stroppy arrogance, haha
I just absolutely believe SAF could take him and make him world class.
Soon as he got a good run in the Madrid team, he did really well, his confidence was boosted, and he scored some excellent goals. We don't have anyone like him, he potentially has the skill and technique to rival Berbatov, the strength and power of Rooney, and a great eye for goal and turn of pace.
He's not everyones cup of tea, but I'd love him here.
De Rossi has atleast 5 more years ahead of him. I think it would be worth breaking our own rule for. Hell, he broke it for Berbatov.
But yeah, agree entirely about Nasri. Really hope SAF nails this one, what a great signing and be so sweet to see him in a red shirt actually winning trophies!

how do you come to the conlusion young is out of hes depth, playing international football is the highest test for any footballer and ashley young has done that and scored goals at the level.
what i would say about young is he tends to waste a lot of dead balls oppotunities, but having said that hes wins so meny freekicks and a hell of a lot of corners and for 16million i would say worth every penny.

'There is no way Arsenal will let him go to a major rival'
Dunno if they have a choice at this stage. I think Nasri holds all the cards with this move. If he wants out, they'll have to take the money, if not, he bails for free next summer. I think if Wenger is smart, he'll take the 15 or whatever it will be, nice and early on in the summer, and invest it.

Exactly, and look how that one turned out. This time next year, berba can go for free and we lose £31mil in exchange for some pretty dire performances
Plus we have Fletcher who is De ROssi albeit not quite as good. Anderson too is not too disimilar.
Nasri is an attacking midfielder. He would compliment Carrick (sit in front of back 4) or Fletcher (defensive mid) very well. Cant see Wenger selling to us though, I just cant

De Rossi is in a different league to Berbatov (and much better then Fletcher! 'not quite as good' my bajingo!)
25 million ish for 5 years of a world class player's services? That's pretty acceptable in the current climate no?
As for Anderson...well, who knows what kind of season he'll have. But as it stands, I'm certainly not pinning any hopes on him.
We sold Wenger Silvestre! He should return the favour!

De Rossi will not be at the top of his game until 33. His stlye of play is all action, like Keane
He started to decline around 30 and I dont think De Rossi will be any differet. Plus he doesnt know the language and has never played outside Serie A
He will be a HUGE risk

Just for the record, I dont think its going to happen!
I see him more of a Gattuso player in his later years. A Makele, only quicker and capable of scoring goals.
If I had to compromise, and be a little more realistic, and I do believe we still need an exceptional defensive mid, I'd go for Lass Diarra. Younger, cheaper, Premiership proven, and very, very good at what he does.

True, I rate Diarra highly as well but like I said, with Fletche rin the squad, I cant see us singing a player like that.

Yeah he plays for England because who else do England have? England, the home of football, have they been anywhere near winning any internation tournaments the past 6 or so years? No. The squad is a million miles off the likes of Brazil, Spain, Argentina etc. So yes, Young in the Champions League, the highest standard of all Football, is a step up too far. Massively over rated player imo.
