Yeah! Don't sign Nasri!
I used to love Nasri, I'll be crying into my pillow tonight I'm sure with James Blunt playing
OH NASRI! CURSE YOU FOR MAKING ME CARE SO MUCH!!!
Nasri isn't actually a winger. He is an attack minded central midfield player.
I would love them both here. Proven Premiership players. Good ages. Great prices (Sanchez 41 million?!?! Purrrrrrlease!)
Nasri in particular would really excite me, tricky player, great on the ball, good vision, just the type we are missing.
10-15 million on each, 15 each for De Gea and Jones, and some cash to come in from selling a few. Wouldnt surprise me if we grabbed Lass Diarra too.
WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET'S ALL BURN OUR NASRI POSTERS AND DOLLS!!!!
don't sign either of them. get scheijder
Nasri is naturally a CM/AMC, just Wenger pushed him out wide because Arsenal alreayd had Fabregas as their playmaker in the middle
Nasri said sometime this season that he hopes to play in the middle in the long term and Wenger himself, said he would get mroe opportunities in the middle
IF we get Nasri, we will play him in the middle. Modric will cost £35mil, Sneijder £40mil, Nasri £15-20mil plus hes the youngest of the 3.
Hes got all the attributes no doubt. Technically incredible, great passing range, scores double figures a season, can run with the ball etc. A Nasri-Fletcher/Anderson midfield might work you know
I'd rather De Rossi than Sneidjer TBH, especially with Rooney doing so well in the space where Sneidjer likes to play.
It would absolutely top my summer off if we signed Benzema too. I still think we need something else up front. Hernandez, Owen, and Benzema and Rooney. Sell Berbatov.
Sigh, I can only dream....
Why would you watn Benzema? He's a pain in the a55 and when hes not playing, he sulks. Also he needs an arm around his shoulder constantly and when his confidence is low, my god he is terrible.
De Rossi is 28 and Fergie said no over 27s.
Sneijder we stand no chance as City/Chelsea will blow us out the water with stupid bids
Modric looks dead certain to stay at TOttenham
Therefore Nasri is the best of the rest and imo, will be very very good here
I'd take Nasri in a heartbeat (dont really see why anyone wouldnt), but I dont believe the rumours for a second. There is no way Arsenal will let him go to a major rival. I reckon Inter will get him as a replacement for Sneijder (who will probably go to Chelsea/City, leaving us with no one )
I just really like him. I love his stroppy arrogance, haha
I just absolutely believe SAF could take him and make him world class.
Soon as he got a good run in the Madrid team, he did really well, his confidence was boosted, and he scored some excellent goals. We don't have anyone like him, he potentially has the skill and technique to rival Berbatov, the strength and power of Rooney, and a great eye for goal and turn of pace.
He's not everyones cup of tea, but I'd love him here.
De Rossi has atleast 5 more years ahead of him. I think it would be worth breaking our own rule for. Hell, he broke it for Berbatov.
But yeah, agree entirely about Nasri. Really hope SAF nails this one, what a great signing and be so sweet to see him in a red shirt actually winning trophies!

how do you come to the conlusion young is out of hes depth, playing international football is the highest test for any footballer and ashley young has done that and scored goals at the level.
what i would say about young is he tends to waste a lot of dead balls oppotunities, but having said that hes wins so meny freekicks and a hell of a lot of corners and for 16million i would say worth every penny.
'There is no way Arsenal will let him go to a major rival'
Dunno if they have a choice at this stage. I think Nasri holds all the cards with this move. If he wants out, they'll have to take the money, if not, he bails for free next summer. I think if Wenger is smart, he'll take the 15 or whatever it will be, nice and early on in the summer, and invest it.
De Rossi has atleast 5 more years ahead of him. I think it would be worth breaking our own rule for. Hell, he broke it for Berbatov.

Exactly, and look how that one turned out. This time next year, berba can go for free and we lose £31mil in exchange for some pretty dire performances
Plus we have Fletcher who is De ROssi albeit not quite as good. Anderson too is not too disimilar.
Nasri is an attacking midfielder. He would compliment Carrick (sit in front of back 4) or Fletcher (defensive mid) very well. Cant see Wenger selling to us though, I just cant
De Rossi is in a different league to Berbatov (and much better then Fletcher! 'not quite as good' my bajingo!)
25 million ish for 5 years of a world class player's services? That's pretty acceptable in the current climate no?
As for Anderson...well, who knows what kind of season he'll have. But as it stands, I'm certainly not pinning any hopes on him.
We sold Wenger Silvestre! He should return the favour!
De Rossi will not be at the top of his game until 33. His stlye of play is all action, like Keane
He started to decline around 30 and I dont think De Rossi will be any differet. Plus he doesnt know the language and has never played outside Serie A
He will be a HUGE risk
Just for the record, I dont think its going to happen!
I see him more of a Gattuso player in his later years. A Makele, only quicker and capable of scoring goals.
If I had to compromise, and be a little more realistic, and I do believe we still need an exceptional defensive mid, I'd go for Lass Diarra. Younger, cheaper, Premiership proven, and very, very good at what he does.
True, I rate Diarra highly as well but like I said, with Fletche rin the squad, I cant see us singing a player like that.
yes please to nasri and young for 16 million

Yeah he plays for England because who else do England have? England, the home of football, have they been anywhere near winning any internation tournaments the past 6 or so years? No. The squad is a million miles off the likes of Brazil, Spain, Argentina etc. So yes, Young in the Champions League, the highest standard of all Football, is a step up too far. Massively over rated player imo.
