He’s earning them so much money...

I thought I would post this interview with Mr Arsenal - Tony Adams as there is one bit in it that I have claimed and people have ridiculed as untrue, yet here we have someone with strong links to the club saying the same thing. Its that the people at the top are making money out of Arsenal, including Stan. A lot of people on here claim he only takes a £3m consultation fee if he even has that.

Here we have Tony Adams saying "He’s earning them so much money he can do what he wants"

How do you explain that unless money is being taken out of the club?

What I have said in the past is that Arsenal went to great lengths to have the full accounts withheld from Usmanov who is a major shareholder. What are they trying to hide if its not the amount of money they take out of the club, including Stan. People say the accounts are published but thats not the full accounts, its a statement of accounts. I've still not seen anyone able to provide any evidence that the board and Stan dont take a lot of money out of the club. Once a little while ago I had a look at the figures that are available on costs etc and there was about £30m a year that cant be accounted for.

All Im saying is I have suspicions money is being taken out of the club and there is something that does not look right, Adams appears to be saying that, yet a lot of people say its not true but dont have any evidence to back it up. Please provide some evidence for your point of view and rather than just speculation. How can you be so sure?

Kroenke takes out £30m a year in consultancy fees.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He used to take £3m a year in consultancy fees which was well publicised. I believe he stopped when fans complained. Its not the consultancy fee I'm talking about, but if you have any evidence he takes £30m please share it with us. That amount does fit with the (unsubstantiated) amount I think cant be accounted for.

Thats the whole point of this article. What evidence so these people have to be so certain that I am wrong. What right have these people got to cal me an idiot, stupid, making things up when they cant prove otherwise. And the ONLY "evidence" anyone has
ever offered to support their vie is that if money was being taken out of the club we would know. How?

So what you're saying its just your opinion.

Didn't think we needed evidence.

I was taking the piiiiiiss.

Even if he is it's hardly the end of the world. Owners/shareholders are always going to take money out of their football clubs.

It's not ideal but it is what it is. Arsenal don't appear to be hamstrung financially, not like they were before Kroenke's ownership.

So I will ask again, can you give ANY evidence to back up the view that the owner and board dont take large amounts of money out of the club which a lot of people on here have claimed in the past, but no one can back up.

+++++

Where is YOUR evidence to back up YOUR claim that monies are being taken out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I never said I have evidence. I never said I know conclusively that money is being taken out. I said I SUSPECT it is. And for saying that I get called names, called an idiot, accused of making it up, told I am wrong about it and no money is being taken out of the club and various things like that. Thats the whole point of this article. What evidence so these people have to be so certain that I am wrong. What right have these people got to cal me an idiot, stupid, making things up when they cant prove otherwise. Think you're overreacting about being called names. I re-read the comments and found people taking about tennis, milkmen, and Tony Adams. That's about it.

Did see one interesting piece of information though...

"Kroenke takes out £30m a year in consultancy fees."

So there you have. Conclusive speculation of what is really going on at Arsenal.

Grrr...

If you can spot a 30m black hole in the accounts don't you think someone else would have figured it out and made a big deal out of it?

At the end of the day the accounts of the club are not fully available to Usmanov, let alone the public. My point was that the people claiming categorically that money is not being taken out of the club, which has happened on a number of threads. I want to see their evidence that makes them think they are so right? If you read my OP you will see that is what I've asked.

The publish detailed accounts it would be obvious if 30m or any money was missing, but I'm guessing there is nothing anyone can say that will convince you otherwise.

Detailed accounts are not available to the public. However consultancy fees are now old hat. Thats what the Glazers did for years. You can do all sort of clever things with debentures, amortisation, large bonus payments to directors etc if you really wanted to hide monies being extracted. Keep in mind its border line illegal and certainly unethical because you are reducing profits with the sole purpose of excluding Usmanov from receiving dividends.

Stan Kroenke does not need to get involved over the smalls sums for him that people are discussing here. You are missing the big picture. The value of the club is more important to him and its far more likely that Stan is using the club as collateral for the huge debt that he has accrued because of his aggressive expansion of his sports franchise business.
